CH. 04 - Written in Blood

[Bishgada]

"SeeBoe, are you OK? Thank Quetzalcoatl for his divine powers made your heart beat again." She looks around still tense. Gives one obsering look at Kianna and then turns to Hu-Yan, "Do you think it is dead? Or we need to track down these hands? At least it seems Kianna may get some rest now."

[Daos]

"Let's just get out of here," Seeboe says, clearly shaken from his near death experience.  "This place is cursed."

[Bishgada]

"You are probably right." Chispa lifts Kianna in her arms.. grunts a little but pushes on. "Lets. Move."

[Daos]

The party helps carry Kianna back into the cellar and up the ladder to the house again.  As soon as they step into the kitchen, they find the woman that Vulpi left there, tied up with her own blouse, fumbling about to free herself.  Her eyes are no longer red, and she manages to easily enough undo her own blouse and put it back on to cover her modesty.  Blushing, she says, "What in the world was I doing..?" as the group enters.

Voices can be heard from the other rooms, calling for help as they struggle against the rope they are tied up with.

"I'll go help them," Ha Yun says before she runs off to help the other people they tied up.

[Daos]

Ha-Yun retrieves the other farmers, untying them.  They seem dazed and confused, showing no memories of what they were doing under Culley's control, but seem back to normal now.

"Who are you folks?" asks one of them.  "What happened here?"

[Bishgada]

Chispa let Ha-Yun do the talking while she goes to the bedroom to put Kianna there to rest. Then she comes back.

Zencho become green as he finish off Culley.
He feels terrible and walk away to throw up.
He killed it.
Zencho... is shell shocked.
It was supposed to be a gloriouse moment, but all he has felt was guilt.
Maybe he was truly the son of misfortune.

But he helps the others.. even if silently.

Vulpi collects the ropes handing them back to their owners. They hope that Kianna will be able to provide some insight into what really happened when she wakes up. if she wakes up.

[Daos]

After the party explains the situation to the farmers, they seem surprised by such a wild tale.  "The last thing I really remember was preparing for the Awakening Festival," one admits.  "After that...just flashes here and there, but it's all a jumble."

"Kianna had been acting strangely for awhile," admits another.  "Insisting her dead friend was back and living in her cellar.  We were all worried about her."

"It seems we owe you our lives," adds a third.  "I'm afraid we don't have much in the way of coin to reward you, but perhaps you can make use of this."  He hands over a small haversack.  "It's enchanted to hold much more than one would expect it to."

[Igordragonian]

Zencho give a bow.
"It was our duty. But such a gift can be extremly useful." he manage to say

[Bishgada]

"Thanks. If you want we can hang around and help you repair the place. It seems it was abandoned for few weeks and the wild animals attack more often. And once Kianna awakes she might tells us and you more about what happened here."

[Daos]

"Well, it looks quite late out," one of the farmer notes, glancing out a window at the night sky.  "You may as well stay here for the night.  You wouldn't want to run into some hungry coyotes or bulettes in the middle of the night.  We should probably return to our own farms, make sure they are still in one piece."

[Bishgada]

"OK. We can go with you makes sure the farms are safe and then return here. Then we can meet here in the morning. Kianna might be up as well."

[HorizonsDream]

"Then, let's all get some rest," Ha Yun says.
