April rubs her chin, eyes hidden by the shadows of their cell. “…and why did we knock him out when he went through our belongings?” she asks.

"If we can successfully convince them that we are an envoy, that brings us closer to the prince." "How do we convince them of that, though?" asks Mizzle. April rubs her chin, eyes hidden by the shadows of their cell. “…and why did we knock him out when he went through our belongings?” she asks. "Once the guard saw Terani's coral armor and arms, and Elonnori vestments, our cover was blown," Blitz explains. "It was very clear then we were the Cascadians he was searching for."

"So we were afraid we'd be mistaken for the ones he was hunting and--" April shook her head, her hair brushing against her neck. "No, that's absurd. What if we were the Cascadians he was searching for--but he was mistaken? We were just envoys, not any sign of an invasion?" Even as the words leave her mouth, the confidence in the idea visibly drains from her face.

"It is already clear that he doesn't believe that we are an envoy," Kalinda says, motioning to the bars they were behind. "But say we do convince these guards we are here peacefully, amd we are taken to the prince, then what?" She asks. "He will be on high alert, along with his personal guards, so the chances of kidnapping him will be very low. We also need a reason why we are going to the prince instead of the king," kalinda points out.

"It wouldn't really be his place to say... As much as he believes us or not. However, I believe this has happened for a reason. We had always known trying to get before the prince would have been tricky, alone even more so. We do indeed come offering a union, and if he sees the sense in that then more strong arm tactics are unneeded. As to why the prince.. well further trekking across their lands would have been filled with further dangers and risks, and then an audience with the king would be even less likely. We could have passed up the chain but they would have treated that with greater suspicion." Terani replies quietly.

"We should probably get our story straight before they start interrogating us," Blitz notes. "From what I've heard about Ravenites, it won't be gentle, either."

"So who sent us? How did we get here? Anything else? I mean, it could help that some feign innocence and are here as escort, unfamiliar with details." He says as an idea.

"The more important we make ourselves out to be, the more likely they'll believe we have useful intel to extract," Blitz reasons. "If we tell them about the Tideway, they will almost certainly send their forces to find it."

"What are the chances that they are actually going to take us before the prince?" Kalinda asks. "If they do believe us, whatever our story is, they might just send a representative instead of the actual Prince."

"Then we will have to trust the great Elonna will guide our words to the Prince. Have faith that he seeks peace and will understand the potential this brings... For all." Terani replies. "So we were brought so far and then put into a small boat to row the rest of the way. We have no return except by travelling with the Prince. Seem rational enough?"

Kalinda frowns. She wasn't sure they could pull this off at all. "Alright, how did we get here then?" She asks."Rowimg ourselves is not convincing, and I'm not putting tje Tideway in danger."

“Some sort of magical transportation?” April suggests, a few scattered ideas forming in her brain. “Like flight, or teleportation.”

"I'm not saying we rowed the whole way. Just a boat the... Waveway, brought us close and dropped us off, just the final landing was by row boat which s couple of sailors took back. The big ship left back for home. It meant it was either do or die. Return with the Prince or we don't get to return, more likely from expectation of not being alive to return than anything else." Terani replied trying to show hope and belief in the plan.

"Wait, are we admitting we are here to kidnap the prince?" wonders Blitz. "I don't think they'll take kindly to the idea of us taking him anywhere."

"What?! No! No, we were here to talk and such. We stick to saying that." He says a he tries to look through the bars in case of prying ears.
