Ryan decides on the woolen set, then he decides to negotiate. "Would 1gp and 10sp do? I am not really in a hurry, just trying to accumulate some stuff." Ryan offers.

Ladonna Marche (Lonely Pony Tavern)"Oui, Buho is a very boring place, mon cher," he replies in his thick Picardian accent. "This whole country is so...mundane. And it reeks of cow merde. There is a Village Council meeting this evening...that is the most exciting thing this week." He shakes his head and sighs. Gerald is an exile from Picardie. There are numerous rumors about what led to his exile, and what his life was like back then. It's difficult to say, as Gerald himself gives multiple, conflicting accounts. He has black hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. The locals eye him with suspicion, partly of being foreign and partly because they see him as a layabout who needs to get a 'real job.' If Rebekah had not hired him to entertain at her tavern, he likely would have been run out of town by now. (Ladonna pays 3 silver pieces.) Ryan McIntyre (Silas' Weaving and Tailor shop)Ryan chooses the wool breeches, wool coat and wool tunic and which would cost 3 GP and 6 SP but the acolyte offers 2 GP for it, a whopping 45% discount. Silas thinks it over. "Three gold and three silver," he counters, going for a 10% discount instead. (Ryan makes a CHA check [TN 12] (1d20): 3, pass.) QvHp06un1-201-20

"Deal" Ryan says, extending his hand. He then reaches into his purse extracting just enough to pay his bill. "Could you bag this up for me please?"
"Thank you" Ryan says as he departs.
He heads back to the pillory on his way home, just to see how sh*t turned out.

Ladonna giggles quietly at the description that Gerald gives her hometown. "That is why you have to make your own fun," she says. "Though, the village council meeting can't be all that exciting. Shouldn't it be just the standard stuff that they always talk about?" she asks. Naturally, she had plans to go to the meeting later on this evening, but she hadn't heard any news about the meeting being any different than normal.

Ladonna Marche (Lonely Pony Tavern) "Of course it will be just like any other meeting," Gerald replies. "That is my point. This village is so boring, that the village council meeting is the most exciting thing to look forward to. Pathetic." He makes a sour face.
Rebekah steps out from the back room, alongside Rivi, the half-elven cook that works here.
Rivi Wolfright (Lonely Pony Tavern) "Good luck. And who knows, maybe someday you'll be a hero throughout the land," Rebekah says. The two shake hands and they return to the common room. Once there, Rivi notes that Ladonna, the other waitress that works here, is now sitting at the bar, eating breakfast and speaking with Gerald.
Ryan McIntyre (Village Square) After paying for the clothes, Silas folds them up to be more transportable and Ryan places them in his pouch. He then heads back to the pillory. It's only been about half an hour or so since he gave Tavos the laxative, but he's hopeful that it's taken effect by now.
When he returns, he finds that Tavos is still locked up in the pillory. A handful of children, all human, have gathered in front of it and are pelting him with mud, garbage and rotten fruits with glee while he meekly begs for mercy. Every now and again, he lets loose a loud, wet fart and this only encourages the children further, causing them to howl with glee as they hunt for more stuff to throw at the half-elf.

Ryan steps up, exerting his authority. "Boys. No need to throw stuff. This man is serving his sentence, no need to show dis-respect. Begone!"

"What would you want to happen to make this place more exciting?" Ladonna asks as she eats her breakfast. She takes a moment to look over to Rivi and Rebekah as they exit the kitchen.

Ladonna and Rivi (Lonely Pony Tavern) "Anything that would give me material for a song would be nice," Gerald laments. "All anyone here wants to hear are ballads on the Battle of Buho. That was twenty years ago. People should move on."
Rivi takes a seat at the bar next to Ladonna and asks her how her day is. Rebekah takes her place behind the bar and shoos Gerald off of the bar. The minstrel slides off the bar and instead sits on one of the stools in front of the bar.
Ryan McIntyre (Village Square) "But this is the whole point!" argues a little girl. "That's what the pillory is for."
"Yeah, he's just a half-breed bastard anyway, so who cares?" asks one of the boys. "He deserves it."

"Then what about a song about your many exploits?" Ladonna asks Gerald teasingly before she turns her attention to Rivi. "The morning started off a little rocky, but it is getting better. Yourself?"

Ryan step up the the kids. "He deserves respect, even if he committed a crime. I know your parents won't appreciate your behavior, would you like me to go tell them?"

Ladonna and Rivi (Lonely Pony Tavern) "I try, but nobody wants to hear anything but ballads about the Battle of Buho," Gerald repeats. "They boo me off the stage if I try anything else." He sighs. "And I'll have to do even more of them during the Sandon Festival." He chuckles at Rivi's comment. "Good luck with that. Nine out of ten people who go on adventures don't come back alive, they say. Hope you are feeling lucky then."
Ryan McIntyre (Village Square) "The kohen teaches that criminals are supposed to be punished, not respected," argues one girl.
"It's not like he's human or anything," says a young boy.
"C'mon, let's go get Damon. He'll know what to do," says another boy. Giving the acolyte sour looks, the group of children disperses.
"M-My thanks," Tavos says in gratitude. "I...I'm not feeling very well." He then lets out another wet, sputtering fart.

"That was really the only significant thing that has happened in this town...ever," Ladonna admits thoughtfully. "So it makes sense that people will hold on to it, but they really should let you sing other songs," she admits. "I would like to hear another song sometime," she adds with a smile towards Gerald. She then turns back to Rivi with a look of concern on her face. "You're leaving?" she asks. "That's...extremely dangerous."
