Especially now, since... {Spoilers for Picard Season 1} Picard and Q always argued about the merits and virtues of humanity, but Picard is no longer human.

Greywolf, actually Q did appear in Lower Decks, too, although it was just a cameo. I know what episode you're referring to but I wouldn't call that a cameo lol I meant much more of a presence than someone mentions him and there is a 5 sec clip of him.

Alright, now that I've caught up on Falcon & Winter Soldier, I have to say they did a much better job of expanding on Morgenthau's values and WHAT the organization actually stands for. It's an intriguing look into what, actually, happened during the Blip.
In all honesty, I'd love to see a non-superhero oriented mini-series set during that time frame.
I really like how they handled Walker, his descent is understandable. Almost relatable. I love how they pulled back to Sam's roots as a social worker counseling veterans,it gave the character real empathy. Isiah Bradley? Oooof. Awesome work there, especially given Eli'sconnection to the character and his eventual status as a Young Avenger.
All in all, outstanding series looking forward to next Friday.

I agree wholeheartedly. And that cameo! Didn't see that coming.
Although I'm skeptical that we'll ever get more than a glimpse here or there of what life was like during the five year span post-snap. I think on some level that Marvel realizes that the whole situation raises way too many logistical questions that they can't possibly answer, and probably aren't interested in answering. But you never know.

So, let's talk the cameo, I feel it had to be done, *but* the Pandemic robbed it of it's impact. Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, or Madame Hydra, most definately had a part in the upcoming Black Widow movie, but given that movies release date being pushed back from May 2020, to July of this year, put it behind the Falcon & Winter Soldier series, so this is the first we're seeing her, rather than having a little more information on her motivations and goals that may be in the Widow movie.
Secondly, the more I think of Morgenthau and the Flag Smashers, the more I feel Disney botched their presentation, and could have made her a *much* more sympathetic character had they revealed her goals, and the Flagsmashers motives earlier, and rather than exploding a building that only contained GRC personnel, having them escape with the supplies, and the GRC follow, a conflict erupting in a refugee/relocation camp where GNC forces catch refugees in the crossfire, then have the Flagsmashers react. It's less cold blooded killing than blowing up a building, especially if the news white washes the fact that GNC caused refugee casualties. Just my thoughts though, still enjoyable over all.

Yeah, I had to look her up to find out who she is, but of course I recognized the actress who played her.
And yeah, one of the problems I had with the show early on is that we had no idea if the Flagsmashers even had a point or not, or really what they were even fighting for. It would have been nice if they had explained all of that earlier in the show.
Well, one episode left. I have a pretty strong suspicion I know what is in that box the Wakandans gave Sam, and I'm looking forward to seeing if I'm right.

Anyone seen the new trailer for Marvel's M.O.D.O.K, starring Patton Oswalt?

Oh, yeah! I saw that a while ago. I suppose it's not to be in the MCU, since Patton Oswalt already plays three characters in it.
(By the way, I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that the tv shows aren't canon any more. The movies certainly don't pay them any heed, but are they really decanonized?)

Aside from MODOK and Koening from SHIELD, who is the third person Patton Oswalt plays in the MCU? As for the non-Disney+ shows being stricken from canon, while there has been no official announcement one way or the other, I strongly suspect that is the case for a few reasons: The first is that the movies and Disney+ shows have made zero effort to include even a wink or a nod toward the other shows. I know there were rumors that Quake or Daredevil were going to appear in Endgame or that Monica's physicist friend in Wandavision was going to turn out to be Fitz, and none of those came true, obviously. But not even a brief bit of throwaway dialogue or even a freezeframe bonus. It would be so easy, too. Just casually mention something about the Inhumans, or the Roxxon incident in New Orleans, or the bulletproof man that appeared in Harlem. But nothing. The second is that Agents of SHIELD (which is the last of the non-Disney+ MCU shows that got cancelled) seemed to set up its last season the idea that it was now taking place in a parallel timeline (or at least, that was the impression I got). The fact that the Snap never happened is another big clue, too. The third is Wandavision. First, they introduced SWORD as a replacement for SHIELD. In the movies, SHIELD was taken down after it was revealed that HYDRA had infiltrated it. In Agents of SHIELD, it was revealed that SHIELD was rebuilt and become a force of good again. If that were canon, why would there be any need for SWORD? Second, the Darkhold. The way it looked in Agents of SHIELD and Runaways was completely different to how it appeared in Wandavision. Wandavision's version on the left, Agents of SHIELD/Runaways version on the right. I know that even now there are rumors that Marvel is considering bringing back the Defenders on Disney+ with the original actors and pick up where they left off (unlikely, in my opinion; Netflix has the full rights to the original versions, so that would mean to understand the story, you'd need to subscribe to both Netflix and Disney+). But I don't think there's truth to any of them. I strongly suspect that none of the non-Disney+ shows will ever be referenced again. If we ever see those characters again in the MCU, they will probably be recast and given new backstories.

I was cheekily counting the three Koenigs as separate characters. And, well, perhaps you're right.

I was cheekily counting the three Koenigs as separate characters. Ahh, I see. He actually portrayed five Koenigs. Billy, Eric, Sam, Thurston and Ernest.

Has anyone heard of this prequel spin-off from Game of Thrones possibly to air in 2022?

Huh. No. I've never seen it, but I was under the impression that the divisive finale practically killed the fanbase.
