Also, Snacs is having difficulty figuring out how to make an awakened miniature slime work as a PC. I can't figure it out either for 2nd edition. The difficulties lay in figuring out what kind of stats it should have and also how he can communicate with the other PCs. If he can't make that work he's thinking of playing a minor Incarnation - first choice Incarnation of Hope, second choice of Charity or something like that.

What are you looking to do? I generally don't mind folks making their own bits and bobbins if absolutely nothing works. You might also try looking at various martialy inclined specialty priests. Torn, Tempus, And a few others have priests that are practically paladins but not...also the crusader priest. @snacks and Ezeze, what now? Awakened slime? Interesting. What have you found currently? Unfortunately 2nd Ed wasn't very monster PC friendly.

Primarily, I was wanting to swap my Bonded Mount ability with something else. My character concept isn't a traditional 'knight on horseback with a lance' type, and I can't imagine having a horse in a city would be terribly useful. Maybe he can use Draw Upon Holy Might (from the Tome of Magic) instead? I like the idea that he looks like a regular cutter most of the time, but during times of distress he can tap into his celestial nature and get a boost of power and display wings of light, a halo, glowing eyes, and all that. But it's quite draining so he can't do it all of the time.
I...I am not sure how serious you are being right now. But slimes tend to have an INT of 0-1 in 2E, so he'd be less of a character and more of a...pet.
And I have no idea what an Incarnation is.

He's serious, and I'm sure he'll talk more about it if Jherek Everfull gives him permission to post on the board. The INT thing is why he specified an 'awakened' ooze. I tried to dig through a few of the 2nd ed compendiums for the right spell, honestly I did, but I couldn't find it so I'm linking the 3.5 version; www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/awaken.htmHe took the Incarnation from the Monsters Compendium Planescape Appendix 1, page 58. It's a sapient embodiment of the pure energy of an abstract concept. Specifically he'd play a Good-aligned minor Incarnation. They are attracted to sources of the concept they embody. He's really into playing weird shit so a planar game is right up his alley

The easiest way to do something like that would be to go Aasimar or Tiefling and be a specialty priest of a diety representative of the idea he wants to embody. In Sigil and the greater Multuverse as a whole, belief has profound power. A person believing wholeheartedly that they are the physical manifestation of hope or charity could likely convince more than one clueless, cutter, or berk that he deserved the title.

Call Upon Holy Might is a spell yeah? What sorta usage are yo looking at getting? Like a daily power? Something usable a set number of times per day?
