Hopefully Sebastian doesn't mistaken Jason for a kender, since there are no halflings on Krynn.

Well, let me ask you this. What kind of halfling is Jason? Does he look more like an old school halfling, with hairy feet, kind of rotund, like this: Or lithe and elfin, like a 3E halfling:

It would be kind of funny if both Tiriara and Mas'erin took turns bullying Sebastian into acting as a pawn towards their contradictory purposes. Very possible. Jason is very scared of Maserin, preferring to avoid him at almost all costs. Mas'erin's response to that would be; "Good. Stay out of my basement. Fucking boot licker." Hopefully Sebastian doesn't mistaken Jason for a kender, since there are no halflings on Krynn. ...I don't know what a Kender is, but you don't have to explain it to me. It makes my confusion more genuine. Oh! Oh! I hadn't thought of that! That's going to be hilarious.

Okay. So he looks like a kender then. That'll be interesting. Originally halflings looked exactly like hobbits. Actually, they were even called hobbits, until the Tolkien estate had a few words to say (and a cease and desist from their lawyers). Dragonlance, however, didn't have halflings at all. They were replaced by another race called kender. They did not look like hobbits. They were thin, lithe, and kind of elf-like in appearance. When 3E came out, they re-imagined halflings to look more like kender...possibly to further distance themselves from their Tolkien roots. I won't elaborate on what kender are, as a race, but rest assure that there are going to be some hilarious reactions when Sebastian and Tiriara first meet Jason. Mas'erin will probably just see him as another halfling, though.

Mas'erin will probably just see him as another halfling, though. Jason is the first Halfling Mas'erin has ever met but he's understands that they're just, like, surface Derro. Whatever. The surface has lots of weird parallels with the Underdark.

Oh, okay. I guess I assumed Mas'erin escaped to the surface before winding up in Sigil...or that he went on surface raids and might have encountered halflings then.

Even if he had been on raids, though, I don't think "slaughtering them in their beds and taking all of their stuff" qualifies as "meeting" them >.> Actually, important question Jherek Everfull - are you planning on standardizing life expectancy like in Amtar or are we going by the book?

You know, it occurs to me that I never got an answer to how many Spells I get.

Remember that as a specialist all spells not of your school suffer a 15% penalty.

But you get a +15% for your school.
So with an INT of 18, you automatically learn any Alteration spells (100%) but any non-Alteration spells you learn at 70%.
