Weird coincidence, I literally just finished watching it, too. But I loved it. Of course, I'm an old fan of Sam Raimi's films, and that movie really had his fingerprints all over it. That weird mix of horror and comedy, like in Evil Dead and Army of Darkness, not to mention the Bruce Campbell cameo. {Spoiler} It was also interesting to see Professor X again (Patrick Stewart) and Blackbolt (Anson Mount), even if these weren't the versions from the X-Men films and the Inhumans TV show. Kind of interesting that the latter even got mentioned, really, considering how ashamed Marvel was of that show. I think this might be the first time the movies actually mention Inhumans and the Terrigen Mist.

I just watched this last night didn't even notice it was already on Disney+ TBH. I really liked DR. Strange & the multiverse of madness and wow that does live up to the title. I totally loved the Bruce Campbell cameo lol granted I am a fan of his. But wow that was a great movie imo anyway. You have some very valid points in your spoiler too Daos. I liked how they actually said what universe #'s they were in and what they were classifying the MCU movies universe # to be in.

I heard a lot of people didn't like the universe number thing, because they called the MCU universe 616--which is the name given to the core comics universe. So that's a bit of a continuity error, I guess.

Honestly it didn't bother me that much esp since I frankly couldn't remember all of that back history plus imo it isn't that big a deal. Intentional or accidental slip up on their part doesn't phase me one bit.

The way I saw it, the numbering system here was made up by the Dr. Palmer of 838, so you can just say that the MCU is not universe 616, that's just the number she gave it. So you can still say the MCU is actually universe 199999, if you want.
(Although weird that Palmer designated her own universe as 838, and not, you know, 1 or something.)

This...actually looks good? (That's not something I thought I'd ever say about a D&D movie.) Sort of Guardians of the Galaxy but for D&D. So a live action Legends of Vox Machina of sorts.

but i hated Vox Machina just from hearing about it!
I was just talking to my brother about that movie, today! I basically said there were three ways they could do it. 1) Fantasy movie with D&D/Forgotten Realms flavor (it looks like they're going with that.) 2) As prior, but with little touches that nod to how people play the game--like having the party argue over loot or who has the best 'character build,' or having a party member die and be replaced with the same actor playing a different character. 3) Make it an actual D&D game, switching between the game world and the actual world. (The real DM and players could have a story of their own, or just be a framing device the movie gets some jokes out of)

Who here likes superhero movies? Because we got them! First, Black Adam. Where the Rock appears to be playing Vegeta!
Next is Shazam 2. Hey, is that Lucy Liu?
And then Black Panther 2!

I finally got around to watching the Bob's Burgers movie last night on Hulu. As a long time fan of the show, since the first episode, I rather enjoyed it. It felt like a very long, regular episode but with improved and more fluid animation. So if you are a fan of the show, I'd definitely recommend the movie, as well.

Watched the new Predator movie last night, Prey. It was pretty great! Probably the best one I've seen since the original.

I'm glad you liked it! I know Daos didn't find it very interesting. He said that the Uncharted games have really stereotypical action movie plots, so the reason they're fun is that you get to be an awesome action hero. Adapting it into a movie just gives you a stereotypical action movie.

Yeah, and the only other thing that really makes the Uncharted games appealing is the chemistry between the cast. The reviews I read said the cast of the movie lacked that chemistry. But I noticed it was on Netflix now, so I might give it a chance at some point.

Honestly I never played the games so that whole issue was not a problem from my stance.

Yeah, that's probably the best way to do it. No baggage, no expectations or preconceived notions, just enjoy the movie for its own merits and flaws.
