Alright. I've added Silverblade to the group. He can work on his character in the OOC thread.

Minor Illusion has a range of 30 feet, so Fosco will need to at least get as close as the entrance to the chamber, depending on where he wants the sound to come from. So I need GravityEmblem to edit a stealth check into his last post, to see if he can get close enough to cast the spell without being noticed.
(B = Bugbear, w = wolf, 1 and 2 = goblins)

Since Orianna was the only one left standing there, Horizon and I went ahead and finished up the battle, rather than wait several days for it. Normal posting can resume now.

Okay, chapter one is closed. XP is up. Here are my notes:
Title and Theme The title of this chapter, "Goblin Arrows" is a reference to the ambush that started it all; the dead horses with goblins' arrows in them. It's more or less a self-contained adventure, but it sets up some things to come, and introduces the titular Lost Mine of Phandelver.
Ignoring the Goblins It was possible to ignore the goblin tracks, and do as Djan originally demanded, which was to just continue to Phandalin. However, had the party done so, when they arrived they would have been informed Gundren never arrived. Thus, they cannot be paid. At that point, they'd have little choice but to return to the trail anyway.
Garbage Chute Remember the little chimney in the room with the wolves? It had trash at the bottom of it. This led directly to Klarg's chamber. Had anyone attempted to climb up it (athletics check), they could have caught Klarg and his goblins unawares right at the beginning.
The Dams The dams were an interest mechanic. The goblin scout on the bridge kept watch. If he saw someone coming, he would run to the dam and warn the goblins there. They would then open the floodgates, and anyone in the main tunnel gets washed away. Of course, Orianna managed to take out the scout first, so it never came up.
Near TPK That final battle nearly did the party in. Had Iroas not gone down first, he could have used his last spell to heal someone. If Djan hadn't tanked his initiative roll, he could have got off his last attack spell before he went down. I was surprised that Fosco tried to melee Klarg instead of using Vicious Mockery to give him disadvantage. (I also noticed that Fosco never once used his bardic inspiration. He can use it three times a day.)
What really made things tough was the enemy racial abilities. The goblins can go into hiding as a free action, and bugbears do extra damage. I had no idea 5E was so potentially lethal. It certainly requires more tactics than 'just hit it until it dies,' at least at first level, anyway.
Changing Cast In the next chapter, I'll be dropping Djan and Kalli from the roster. We'll just say they went their separate ways once the party arrives in Phandalin. As for Iroas, it sucks that he died. I had been working on expanding his backstory and was considering multi-classing into Fighter when he leveled up, just to see how it works. But I'll put out an ad to recruit for 2-3 more players, and if there's room in the party still, I might roll up another NPC to take his place.
======================
Let's discuss treasure distribution. There wasn't a whole lot of it in chapter one. Aside from Klarg's loot, Yeemik had some stuff, too. But since he lived, the party never got it.
The treasure acquired was 600 CP, 110 SP, and a jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes. (There was also the two potions, but they were consumed.)
Anyone who can pass a DC 15 Intelligence check can appraise the statuette's value.
As far as leveling up goes, do you guys want your second level to be in your current class (Bard and Rogue) or do you want to try multi-classing? Either way, let me know, and we can move forward from there.

I'm for splitting the money evenly, and I'm going to level up in Rogue. I'm just going to make things simple that way.

I'll also just go Bard 2.

Okay. Until the statuette can be appraised and sold then, I'll just add it to Orianna's inventory for now. For the rest of the coin, 600 CP divides up to 120 CP each, while 110 SP divides to 22 SP each. Iroas' share will be put toward his funeral expenses, once the party arrives in Phandalin.
Since you are both sticking to your current classes, here is what you get:
Orianna (Rogue 2) You get 1d8+1 HP (or you can skip the roll and just take 5+1 HP instead; your choice). You get Cunning Action. Starting at 2nd level, your quick thinking and agility allow you to move and act quickly. You can take a bonus action on each of your turns in combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.
Fosco (Bard 2) You get 1d8+1 HP (or you can skip the roll and just take 5+1 HP instead; your choice). You get a new 1st level spell slot. You can learn a new 1st level spell (in addition, you can swap out an old spell for a new one, if you want). You get Jack of All Trades. Starting at 2nd level, you can add half your proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check you make that doesn’t already include your proficiency bonus.
You get Song of Rest. Beginning at 2nd level, you can use soothing music or oration to help revitalize your wounded allies during a short rest. If you or any friendly creatures who can hear your performance regain hit points at the end of the short rest, each of those creatures regains an extra 1d6 hit points.
So you both need to roll (or choose) your HP, and Gravity needs to pick his new spell(s), and we're good to go.
Oh, and also--I nearly forgot. Since you two have managed to stick with me this long, and made it through the first chapter alive, I will reward you both with inspiration.
Inspiration: If you have inspiration, you can expend it when you make an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check. Spending your inspiration gives you advantage on that roll. Additionally, if you have inspiration, you can reward another player for good roleplaying, clever thinking, or simply doing something exciting in the game. When another player character does something that really contributes to the story in a fun and interesting way, you can give up your inspiration to give that character inspiration. You either have inspiration or you don’t—you can’t stockpile multiple “inspirations” for later use, so there's no reason to horde it.

Okay, you are good to go, Horizon. Orianna's HP is upped to 12. Now it's Gravity's turn.
I put out the ad for this game last night, and I already have two people expressing interest (one mentioned a dragonborn sorcerer, and the other a dwarf barbarian).

Okay, Fosco's character is updated.
And I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Lupercal83 to the game. He will be playing a dwarf barbarian, so we'll finally have someone on the front-line.
By the way, Lupercal, it turns out I did have a few more questions for you about your character. First, his age, height and weight. Second, does he follow a particular deity? If you can't think of one, I had a few suggestions (namely, Helm the god of watchfulness, which ties into his backstory about swearing to always remain vigilant; Moradin the All-Father of dwarves, and Clangeddin Silverbeard the dwarven god of war).
Oh, and would you mind writing up a brief description of his appearance? Hair, eye, skin color, how he dresses, how he carries himself, that sort of thing?
Also, his equipment includes a trophy taken from a fallen enemy, and a set of bone dice or deck of cards. Did you want to decide on what the trophy is (a signet ring or amulet, a broken blade, a part of a banner, etc.) and whether he has dice or cards?
As for everyone else, I'm going to wait a couple more days to see if I can recruit a fourth person. I'm also going to work on making a new NPC. Since Iroas wasn't tanky enough, I was thinking possibly a paladin this time around, but we'll see.

Hello everyone. Thanks for the invite.
So Gotrek is a 75 year old dwarf, 4.5 ft tall and weighs 150lbs. For deity I didn’t have one in mind so Helm sounds good. For equipment he has a set of dice and the trophy is a piece of his regiments banner.
Appearance: He has blue eyes, tanned skin and orange dyed hair. His hair is usually in a mohawk and he has a full beard with various clasps and beads in it. He wears leather pants supported by a large intricately carved belt and heavy boots. He goes bare chested and has intricate blue dragon tattoos encircling his torso and arms. He seems always ready to leap into battle and is quite ready to die if would mean a worthy death. He carries a pair of handaxes on his belt and has a greataxe strapped to his back.

Okay, that all works great.
I did some research, and there is a mountain dwarf (or shield dwarf, as they are called in FR) city in the northern Sword Coast (where this game takes place), called Mirabar. I thought maybe that's where Gotrek came from. Mirabar is beyond the scope of this module, so we won't be going there, but I thought it might be useful to have a name for his home in case it ever comes up. What do you think?
Meanwhile, I have another person who is interested in joining. Wants to play a human monk. But he says he's going on vacation until September. I definitely don't want to wait that long, so I'm thinking we'll start up in a couple of days and he can just jump in when he's back.
