Jaeron holds up a hand as if to stop Samwen "Now now none of that talk Samwen. I wouldn't want anything repaid I am just doing my duty to Gonto. I donated to the first church or temple of Gonto as is required of most of us. No payment needed just knowing I was able to help out is all I need in return."

"Very well, then," says an acceptent Johannes. "I suppose you'll get to do what it takes to survive a little longer," he remarks to the robber.

"Fair enough," Kalana says. "We should probably get back, as ordered," she says to Johannas.

Kalana and Johannas (Harbor District) The officer beckons another constable over to take custody of the half-elf and lead him to a cell. "Tell that dwarf friend of yours he better watch his back," the half-elf says before being taken away.
Jaeron Dernfog (Temple of Obedience) "Very well. Then I will endeavor to invest back into the community, as Gonto teaches," Samwen says.

Jaeron smiles again "Well I do enjoy visiting with you mind if I stop in regularly to join you in prayer while I am still here on shore leave? I do have to come back by this way to get my book that is being bound as well. I'll make sure to stop by and check in visit a bit. To be honest I am not sure what else I will do while I am here not a lot that falls into what I take pleasure in. Aside from I suppose the library and this temple."

"I don't think we are going to see him again," Kalana says. "Not with the way that he stormed off like he did. I still can't believe he tried to do what he did," she says to Johannas.

Kalana and Johannas (Harbor District)"Was there anything else then?" the constable asks the two standing before her. Jaeron Dernfog (Temple of Obedience)"Of course, you will always be welcome here, my friend," Samwen says. "Any time, any day. And hopefully the next time you visit, I'll have made significant progress here in the city."
Natylie Korosuga (Docks) It had only been two years since Natylie has boarded a ship leaving her homeland, to pursue her important mission from the elders. And things had changed so much for her in that short time. If only her father, or the Daimyo, could see her now. Would they even recognize her?
She walks the streets of Tu'Valie, a strange and exotic city the likes she had never seen before. Normally, as a foreigner, Natylie tends to stand out like a sore thumb. But here, there is such a smorgasbord of unusual and alien people, cultures and languages, that nobody even bats an eye at the elven woman. She passes by an albino kobold speaking elven with a macaw aarakocra, the two haggling over the price of a pound of spice. She smells a number of new and unusual odors, and her eyes are drawn to the bright and flashy colors used throughout the market to grab the attention of would-be customers.
Wondrous as the city may seem, however, that is not why she is here. The previous night, she had seen an add at the inn she was staying at, offering to hire new crew for a Blue Lightning ship called the Tiaru. The Blue Lightning were an infamous organization in these seas, known for their hatred of pirates and smugglers. They were essentially pirates themselves, in a sense, but rather than targeting cargo ships, they only went after criminals. They were vigilantes, operating outside the law to put an end to piracy and the slave trade. Working with them would be a good way to earn some coin, but also provide ample opportunities for her to hunt down her quarry.
She arrives on the docks, the familiar scent of fish and salt filling the air. Walking along the harbor, she spots the Tiaru docked there. It is an impressive sized war galley of elven design.
As she approaches the gangplank, she can see a handful of people on the upper deck. One of them, an elven man with short black hair, sunkissed skin and a face tattoo over his left eye (it looks vaguely tribal), watches over the place--likely an officer of some kind, based on his authoritative stance and bearing.

"No, I don't believe so," Kalana says. "Sorry to have taken up your time," she adds before she leaves, motioning for Johannas to follow her.

Jaeron smiles and gets up to head off "All that matters is you give it your best and tried Samwen always remember that."

Kalana and Johannas (Docks) The two leave the barracks and head back for the ship. Toven remains on the upper deck, supervising a handful of crewmen who are carrying supplies--mostly food and water--up onto the ship and then down to the galley.
Jaeron Dernfog (Temple of Obedience) "I will. Thank you again," Samwen says with a polite little bow.

"We're back!" Kalana announces cheerfully to Toven. "That guy is probably going to be back on the streets in no time, but what can we do at this point?"

Kalana and Johannas (Upper Deck of Tiaru) "That's a pity, but not terribly surprising, I suppose," Toven says. "Law enforcement has never been particularly strong in this city. People like their freedom, after all. But we did what we could, for now, at any rate. Regardless, I thank you for dealing with the matter."
Jaeron Dernfog (Off the Book) Jaeron returns to the bookbinder, and finds that his new leather bound book is finished. Since he has already paid for it, the woman hands it over right away. "Here you are, sir." As the book only has 10 pages, it is quite thin. But it seems rather durable and well made.
