CH. 02 - Shore Leave

[Bishgada]

"Yes. Let's get out of here." Senllip whispers in agreement and track back their steps. 'How this creature manages it?' Senllip thinks to himself while on the run.

"The Guild!  I should have known," Harrin says.  "Well, the important thing is, my sister is safe and I have you three to thank for that.  The Blue Lightning is every bit deserving of their great reputation."

Senllip (Calabrian Cargo Hold)
The two invisible halflings hurry back up to the upper deck, but find themselves trapped.  The gangplank has been recalled and there are now armed guards scouring the whole area.  With no other choice, the two are forced to dive overboard and swim to safety.  Once they are back on land, they hurry back to the base.

"Just keep an eye out for anything suspicious," Kalana says. "The Crimson Oar said that it was a dwarf, specifically, that hired them. We should probably get back to our ship though, so take care of yourselves."

The three return to the ship after saying their goodbyes.

"Dear heavens!" Senllip says to his friend Athel. "That was close... and very disappointing. How does this Senrik do all of that?!?" Senllip says while tapping in frustration on their table back in the guild. "I wonder if it is really the rumor we spread that triggered his action, or anything else." He is looking at his empty glass and thinks it pretty much describe the reward of their adventure. Lazily he raises his hand for another refill. "Have your scouts reported anything of interest?" He asks Athel. "Have you noticed anything that can lead to how he pulled that off?" He continues. "In any case, if this Senrik comes as a threat to the guild, you should enlist the mage or even hire a mage from the mages guild to join such exploration as we did. Maybe they can detect what magic he had used for his heist. Ahhh... I told them we need magic detection stuff... I was sure they said we can get anything we need and look how did we ended up..." He shakes his head. "And the Golem! He just disabled it somehow! Amazing..."
When the glass is refilled he looks at his old friend, smiles, raises his glass and says, "Well, it was still quite an adventure. And we lived to tell the marvels we witnessed. To our friendship and adventures." And he gulps the glass.
After hearing Athels answers to his questions and if nothing of importance, than some cheat chat, Senllip bids his farewells and heads back to the ship.

Athel shakes his head.  "The scouts say they saw nothing.  However Senrik boarded the ship, he did it without being detected by anyone.  And somehow beat us to it!  I don't even see how that's possible."  He sighs.  "Well, it was fun trying, anyway.  And maybe the next time you come to town, we'll have made some progress in figuring out how he's doing it."  He raises his own glass, as well.

(OOC:  Yes, this is a plot line that will be picked up next time the party comes to Tu'Valie.)
