Kalana Ioane (Alley outside the Crimson Oars Warehouse) "No, nothing like that," Harrin insists. "She just sells little knickknacks that she makes herself at the market square, and that's about it."
Jaeron and Johannas (Crimson Oars Warehouse) Jaeron approaches Johannas and casts a minor cure spell, which half-way heals the first crossbow bolt wound the druid took.
=========
Jaeron casts Cure Light Wounds on Johannas, restoring 2 HP.

"Whatever she makes must be pretty good if she is able to make a living off of it," Kalana comments. All and all, Harrin's sister seems like just a common girl, so she can't seem to figure out why she was kidnapped. She looks up as she sees Jaeron approaching. "You are walking calmly, so things are going well?" she asks.

Jaeron "Well they let me heal Johannas. But things are not back to fighting so yes it is going well will you both be joining me back in there?" the gnome asks.

Kalana tries to walk back towards the warehouse, and finds that she can actually do so. "It seems whatever was done to me has worn off, so I'll be going back," she says. "Though, I do suggest that Harrin stays here. Why has the fighting stopped?" she asks Jaeron as she walks back to the warehouse. "What happened?"

Kalana, Jaeron, and Johannas (Crimson Oars Warehouse) Jaeron does not answer Kalana's question. The two re-enter the warehouse wordlessly, where they find that Johannas is standing there silently, as well. The Crimson Oars thieves wait patiently for somebody to say something, as the entire warehouse has inexplicably descended into an awkward silence.

Jaeron "The fighting stopped because their leader stopped it." ooc: I thought she was inside when that all happened.

Ooc: No, she ran out before the fighting actually stopped.
IC: "Why is everyone standing around wordlessly? What is going on?" Kalana asks.

"Well...I don't know what else to say," Johannes replies, embarrassed. Quickly changing the subject, he says "We need a plan of action. Does anyone have any suggestions?"

Kalana, Jaeron, and Johannas (Crimson Oars Warehouse) "As I was telling your friend here," the half-elf says, "our employer is a member of the Octhanian Trading Guild. They want to put Harrin out of business so they can buy it out at a cheaper price. They offered us a good lump of gold, and we are in no position to turn it down. As thief guilds go, we're small and new and we need to establish ourselves before another guild decides we're easy pickings. So, we kidnap the girl, Harrin pays the ransom. He is then too broke to refuse their offer to buy out his business. It's as simple as that."

"Who is the member in the trading guild?" Kalana asks. "And while I understand you have to establish yourselves, is it necessary to beat on the woman?" She asks. "Also, was this only a verbal agreement between you and the member of the trading guild, or was there a written agreement?"

Kalana, Jaeron, and Johannas (Crimson Oars Warehouse) "I never got his name," the half-elf says. "Never gave it, and I never asked. But I knew he was a guildsman because he had one of their signet rings. Beyond that, I know he was a dwarf. It was a verbal agreement, of course. He wouldn't be stupid enough to leave behind a paper trail. And as for Rosina here, well, she kept trying to escape. There had to be consequences for that."

Kalana takes the flask from her waist, and takes a swig before she looks at Johannas. "Harrin is your friend. Go ask him of he has seen a dwarf guildsmen hanging around his sister's business," she says before looking back to the leader. "May we speak to your prisoner?"

Jaeron "I wonder what makes this woman so important to be held your prisoner. Then again I am probably asking the wrong question."

Kalana, Jaeron, and Johannas (Crimson Oars Warehouse) "No," the half-elf answers. "Either pay the ransom of five hundred gold, or get out. I'm losing patience on this whole matter."
