"A drow?" Taska asks. "I knew a guy who had a run-in with a drow once. They still, to this day, have not found all the pieces of his remains."
Krah raises a brow. "Drow? What is this? I do not know this word. Some kind of monster?"

"Drows are evil vile creatures that's can't be trusted and should be killed on sight"

"According to the tales of my mother, they were once elves, but turned against their kin and were cursed by their gods and driven into the bowels of the earth as a result," Malavar adds. "Now they serve a demon spider queen and slaughter any good folk that fall into their hands. It is strange to hear of one willingly coming above ground and dwelling in the sunlight though."

Drezden nods "Most of that is true to what I have heard save for the one drow elf that fled the underdark and became a ranger up here on the surface doing good deeds, heard he slayed a demon, dunno how true it is. Then again what we hear from bards and story tellers can't be entirely all fact. They do embellish some of the tales." realizing he's droning on a bit the dwarf clears his throat and simply adds "Drow are dark elves that dwell in the deep underdark with the gray dwarves and deep gnomes and other such creatures."

Jaxle listens to his friends speak of drow. There is one that fled his kin and there demon goddesses wrath. My kin heard the tale of a demon he slayed by this drow ranger. Jaxle occasionally looks for a high point looking for any danger that may be ahead or following them.

"I see," Krah says. "Well, should we encounter any of these 'drow' I am certain they will be no match for us. They will surely rue the day they climbed out of their caves, just as those goblins and the ogre did," he boasts.
"Don't be so quick to underestimate them," Taska warns. "I've heard stories of how dangerous they are, especially their women."

Drezden "I never underestimate a woman no matter what race they might be. But drow females are their clerics males usually fighters from what I understand of them."

Dallion remains to himself as they talk about the Drows, he has seen them in action... It is not a pretty sight the dwarf and half elf speak of elven history but miss so much

"Well this is all very interesting, but master Peddywinkle isn't paying us to find or fight any drow. All we have to worry about is getting safely to Targos. I, for one, am looking forward to the prospect of a warm bed and a proper roof over my head!"

Drezden "Aye I know that. Just passing the time is all I'm still doing what I was paid to do. I am not historian so i know what I heard, learned and know isn't full historical fact but it passes the times sharing tales."

"Then you are wiser than most men!" Taska teases the dwarf.
Taska sighs. "I just hope they have warm beds and proper roofs in Targos. I've never this far north before, so I don't know what to expect. I half worry we'll get there and it will be a bunch of igloos or something."
Krah frowns. "I, too, do not know what to expect. I have never been in a warm-blood community before. I am not certain how the locals will react to one of my kind."

Drezden waves off the thought Krah expresses "It's a town of folk that are misfits from what I have heard in tales Icewind dale appears to take in all sorts." the dwarf chuckles at Taska's remark "Can't say all of my gender are as wise."

Dallion looks up at the others. "Some of the best warriors in elven history were female. I wouldn't expect too much civilization from the villages up here in the north this is a wild land. As for the Drow you all got part of it right."

Drezden "I heard this place gives people a second chance. But it does have other beings only one drow lived up here dunno that he's still around. Had a halfling too." the dwarf remarks. "Yes you are right females of all kinds have been mighty I've heard tales of fierce female warriors, human, elf, dwarf, even other races like orcs too. Would you believe i heard some fella mention meeting a friendly goblin once?"

Malavar chuckles at Taska's apprehension. "Somehow I don't see Master Peddywinkle as the type to dwell in an igloo. I imagine there'll at least be something resembling a quality establishment if his choice of residence in Luskan is anything to go by."
