Yes, the Northern Ergothians are interested in reabsorbing the South and there are a number of loyalists in Zhea Harbor the party could contact who would like to see that happen, as well.

That wouldn't be a terrible option. But  I suppose that gives us another choice now.

By the way, if the party is going through the mountains, they might want to take a look at their encumbrance.  The party moves as fast as their slowest member.  Currently, that's Hunner, with a MV of 1, meaning the journey will take somewhere north of 80 days.  The next slowest are Grubnick and Regar (tied at MV 4), meaning the journey will take 25 days.  If you can get your party MV to at least 6, the journey will only take 14 days instead.

Riding mounts might be difficult to handle in the mountains.  But Regar still has Excelsior, he could transfer more gear over to him.

alright I guess if Regar can move his entire pack to the mule that will work for him. Pretty sad I actually forgot I had the mule.

riding, his mule's move is 12 i think. So that would be fastest if possible

His backpack and its contents are already on Excelsior (who is a goat, not a mule, by the way).  He's still in moderate encumbrance anyway.

Actually, according to the DMG:

Advantages of Mounted Movement

When determining overland movement rates, remember that most riders spend as much time walking their mounts as they do riding them. The real advantage of riding is in the extra gear the mount can carry and its usefulness in combat.

Thus, while an unencumbered man can go about the same distance as a heavy warhorse across clear terrain (24 miles as opposed to 30), the man must travel with virtually no gear to move at that rate. Were he to carry an assortment of arms, a suit of chain mail armor, and his personal items, he would find it impossible to keep up with a mounted man similarly encumbered.

So assuming you're not pushing a mount hard, it doesn't actually increase movement rate.  Just reduces encumbrance.  So 6 is still the fastest he can go.

So at this point, we're just waiting for Igordragonian, correct?  It's been a week since his last post.  I had kind of assumed he'd complete his scene by the time the rest of you had your audience with Broadblade, but that hasn't been the case.  I guess for now, you all can just do whatever scenes you want to do, and when you're all done, we'll close the chapter and move forward.

Yes I think that is accurate I just posted that Regar will just walk around maybe looking for shops or whatever there is locally to occupy his time.

Nah He's going to see about getting something maybe to tie off his pack to his mule or a larger saddle bag to use to move over most of his gear.

Excelsior already has a pack saddle, and it's already carrying Regar's backpack.  He still needs to lose around 5 lbs to get out of moderate encumbrance.
