"I can't say I really blame her," Ladonna says. "And I was old enough to understand what was going on, but I'm a little unsure as to why she left me behind." Ladonna tries her hand at sewing at this point, but fails pretty miserably as she ends up poking her finger with the needle. "Perhaps she just wanted to start a new life without the burden of a child. It was my hope that one day I could find her, and just ask her."

Ladonna "How awful," Joy says. "Please, let us know if there's any way we can help in finding her. We have quite the information network going on here in the castle."

"Uh, well, her name was Amanda Marche, but she might be going by her maiden name now which is Caron," Ladonna says. "Unless she married again, then I wouldn't even know where to begin there."

Ladonna
"I'll see what we can find out," Joy assures her. "Maybe she passed through Hart at some point, as it is fairly close to your home. If nothing else, we might learn where she was heading last."

"That is very kind of you. I appreciate it," Ladonna says with a smile. "But I say enough of that business," she adds with a shake of her head. "What are your thoughts on my rather large party of people?" she asks. "Including My lady?"

Ladonna "She seems very nice," Joy offers. "But I was curious about the earth-touched man in your group. He never spoke a word at breakfast. I've never seen anyone like him before. What's he like?"

"Ignot?" Ladonna asks. "He's actually very nice and fully dedicated to Gonto," she explains. "He has tried all of his life to fit in with everyone else, and has had to deal with people thinking he is blessed to be touched by Gonto, and others looking at him like he was a misfit," she says. "But I have always treated him like anyone else, which he seems to appreciate."

Ladonna Joy raises an eyebrow. "Oh? Is there...something between you two then?" she asks, leaning forward in curiosity.

"Ah," Ladonna says with a laugh and shakes her head. "No, no, nothing between us," she says. "I would consider him a friend though."

Ladonna "Why do you laugh?" asks Joy. "Is the idea so outlandish?"

"I wouldn't say that it was outlandish, but it isn't really something that I had really considered," Ladonna admits. "There was a time that I had offer to marry him to help him out of an engagement to a girl that was determined to not marry him, but that has long been settled."

Ladonna "Goodness, that sounds...complicated," Joy comments. "How exactly would that have worked out? And how did it work out in the end?" she asks, quite curious.

"Ignot is a kindhearted person, and he didn't want to bring harm to the young woman he was supposed to marry," Ladonna explains. "But he didn't see any way out of the marriage, so since I am single and at the time a budding hero of Buho I offered to marry him," she explains. "Though, it seems as if the girl changed her mind, so it didn't have to come to pass."

Ladonna "But, even as a budding hero, you said yourself you came from a broken home," Miriam points out. "Wouldn't him marrying you mean marrying below his own status?"
"What made his betrothed change her mind?" inquires Joy.

"I'm honestly not sure why she changed her mind," Ladonna says thoughtfully. "I never asked. As for me, he would have been marrying below his status at the time, but at that point I was making plans to raise my status. By the time that he would have been allowed to marry, it was my plan to become a noble, even if it was a minor noble."
