Ladonna "That's...ambitious," Joy comments. "So that's why you saved your hometown, to become a noble? And now that you've accomplished that goal, what do you intend to do with it?"

"I didn't save my hometown just to become a noble," Ladonna says with a shake of her head. "I saved it because it needed to be saved. My plans started to form afterwards," she explains. "As for what I plan to do now, well right now I plan on helping My lady," she explains. She has other goals in mind, but she doesn't plan on telling them to anyone just yet, or at all.

Ladonna "Well, I would say that's about enough sewing for the day," Miriam announces. By now, all of the women present have finished something--a cap, a baby bootie, gloves, or something. All except Ladonna, of course, who has only managed to haphazardly sew a couple of pieces of cloth to each other. "Well, that's...very good for a first try," Miriam offers. "Come along, Joy, let's retire to my sitting room." The women all start to stand up and put away their knitted items.

Ladonna gathers what sewing she has left, and put sit away before she says goodbye to those that are important and then heads off to speak to the Count.

LillianLillian finishes her ale in peace. When she is done, the bartender asks if she wants anything else. "No, thank you," she answers. Lillian ponders on what the hopeful adventurer said. What would be the best way of using her new status to promote her and Finbul's views? The simplest and most obvious way would be to build up a reputation as a respected citizen of Hart, and then spread their message when the people-and the nobility-are willing to listen to her.

Ladonna Leaving the sewing room, Ladonna heads down the hall, takes a left, and in the middle of that hall is the door leading to the count's room. It is richly decorated, with beautiful tapestries on the walls, satin bed covers, marble floors and finely woven rugs. Many gold and silver trinkets are scattered about on the tables and shelves.
The count himself is currently at a desk, scribbling on some parchment with a quill. He looks up as she enters, then looks back down to his work. "Something you need, Ser Marche?" he asks, gesturing with his free hand for her to approach.
Lillian The bartender nods, and then goes to serve another customer while Lillian thinks to herself.

Ladonna approaches the Count's desk. "Not especially," she says. "I am just meeting with people one on one, but I don't want to bother you if you are busy, Your Lordship."

Ladonna "We've already met, at breakfast," the count reminds her. He gestures for her to have a seat. "Which means you are here for a specific reason. Go ahead and get on with it. I'm not much for small talk," he tells her, never lifting his eyes from the parchment he's writing on.

"My specific reason would be to ask what you thought of my lady?" Ladonna asks. "She is a bit nervous."

Ladonna "I think she's a lovely young lady," the count replies offhandedly. "Obviously, I would not have agreed to her marrying my son if I had thought otherwise."

"But you obviously think she is lacking as well," Ladonna points out. "Otherwise, you wouldn't have had her brought here to Hart."

Ladonna "True enough," the count admits. "She has had no experience with rulership, politics or interacting with other nobles. If she is to one day be baroness, she needs some preparation beforehand."

"What sort of...trials do you plan to put her through to get her the experience that she needs?" Ladonna asks curiously.

Ladonna "Having her sit in when I decree edicts or cast judgment, teach her how to navigate the intrigues of court politics, that sort of thing," the count answers.

"Who would you say would be the least accepting of my lady?" Ladonna asks.
