Ladonna The count actually pauses in his work here and lifts his head to look at her quizzically. "What an odd question. Who could possibly not be accepting of her?"

"I don't know, which is why I asked," Ladonna says. "While I have never spent time in noble society, I have heard things. In the society that I am from, there is even a hierarchy that is followed, and if you are, for example, from a broken family, people are less accepting of those people."

Ladonna "Lady Escott is hardly from a broken family," the count points out. "The Escotts remain in good standing in this county, and have always served my family well. I can't think of any reason that would change any time soon."

Ladonna decides not to press the matter, as the Count is the highest noble in Hart. He isn't going to understand what she is trying to point out. "Well, I will leave you to your buisness," she says. "Your Lordship," she bows her head and then makes her way back to Helen.

Ladonna Ladonna returns to Helen's room, and finds her lying on her bed, over the covers, and still fully clothed. Helen sits up when Ladonna enters, rubbing at her eyes and yawning slightly. "Oh, Ser Marche, you have returned? But where is Miss Lillian?" she asks.

Through some sort of opportune narrative sense, Lillian thinks she should be returning to Helen soon and leaves the tavern for the manor.

"We decided to split up, but she will return I'm sure, my lady," she says. "Did you have a nice nap?"

"I did, thank you," Helen says. Just as she does so, Lillian returns. "Ah, good, you both are back. Please, give me a full report on everything you've learned about the goings-on of the castle, and the people here."

"I think it will be important to you to join the countess and her daughter in their sewing get together's," Ladonna says. "It will be a good way for you to get to know the countess, but to get to know some of the other lady's in court as well. It is probably the best place for you to learn about what is going on in the castle as well, my lady."

“Well, I attended primarily to personal matters, so I don’t have much to say in that regard,” Lillian admits.

"Oh, I have done a bit of sewing before," Helen says, smiling. "If I can get closer to the countess and her daughter, that would help a lot. Did you have anything else?" she asks Ladonna.
To Lillian, she asks, "Oh...so you have nothing at all to report then?"

"I spoke a little to your betrothed," Ladonna says. "He seems very nice actually, and he is looking forward to his marriage to you."

"Well, I could tell you about my encounter with a young hopeful-adventurer, but I daresay you wouldn't be interested in that," Lillian replies.

"Really?" Helen asks, smoothing out her hair a bit. "Did he say anything about me?"
"I'm not sure how that would be of any help to me right now," Helen admits.

"He was a little concerned that you might be a shrew," Ladonna says with a light smile. "But I told him that you weren't. He only got to meet you during breakfast, but he said that you seemed pleasant enough. He said that he has plenty of time to get to know you over the next few months, and he looks forward to it, my lady."
