"And I spoke with the garrison commander, and things sounded promising," Jonas says. "The only issue is I need a sponsor to pay for my equipment. But fortunately, my daughter is a wealthy knight," he adds, nudging Ladonna with his elbow.

"I think I might be able to get you started," Ladonna says. She knows she'll have to actually count the money she has to make sure. She thinks she might go broke doing it, but if it gets her father in a better place, then she'll do it. "What about the rest of you?" she asks, looking to Liala and Ignot. "We are going to be here awhile, so did you find anything of interest to you?"

"I spoke with...the blacksmith...that works in...the courtyard...about taking...me on as...an appren...tice," Ingot responds.

"Yes, once it's been paid for, the armorer will take my measurements before starting on it Although hopefully by the time you've collected the money, I'll be in a bit better shape," Jonas says. "Otherwise, they'll have to fit me again later on."
"All of my skills are pretty agricultural for a castle," Finbul answers. "Although maybe I can find work tending the garden outside the guesting house? Not sure who I would talk to about that, though."

Ladonna says her goodnights to the others, then heads back to the manor and up to the second floor where their new room was to be prepared. The room contains two single beds, two wash basins and a pair of wardrobe closets. Each bed has a chamber pot beneath it. Otherwise, it's fairly light on furniture or decorations. But that at least gives Ladonna and Lillian a chance to personalize it themselves over time.
