Jaeron "Darn I wish I had prayed to Gonto for different spells i could have attempted to detect magic or other useful things in this event."

Imrich silently activates his ability to detect magic and scans the corpse for traces of magic.

Imrich detects no magic at all anywhere on the dwarf's body, not even trace amounts.

"No magic on him at all," Imrich reports. "If there are no external clues as to what killed this fellow, then we may need to look inside," he muses. "Or, less drastically, find out what he's been eating and drinking and whether there are any common denominators with the diet of the other victims. Besides that, the only current common denominator seems to be that they're all from Tu'Valie and they're all new to Sanctuary. Tracking their movements since they arrived might also be a viable course of action - find out where they've been and who they've met since coming here, and perhaps a pattern will emerge."

Jaeron "Quite strange....wonder if it could have been some sort of curse? Or maybe a parasite of some sort?" the gnome wonders outloud.

"A curse would show up as magic, I would think," Kalana says. "I'm not exactly skilled in the area of cutting people open to examine them," Kalana says. "And it seems these are all questions that have been asked before, so I'm at a loss," Kalana says with a shrug.

Continuing Jaeron line of thought Senllip says, "If it is a parasite maybe it enters from the ears or nose... " and he peeks there while speaking. "But if some parasite was digging in their brains or stomach I assume they would have complained on aches, which was not the case. Right Flinn?" Then regarding Imrich idea he says, "Tracing their route might help us, but it will take long time and more people will die, and if the problem is here and not on the route we will lose precious time. We need first investigate here and then track the route, or maybe assemble two teams, one will track their route and one will investigate here. Flinn, are their, hmmm.... more important or people who would like to get influence over the group here? Or is there anyone that joined you recently or that you think behave differently since the attack, aside from fear? I mean like they don't know themselves? Talk in a way that not befits them? Seems to don't know details you think they must have known? How did you come to manage the group Flinn? Do you think someone would want to replace you?" Waiting a bit for an answer he raises another option, "We should also check the perimeter of the camp. Maybe someone sneaks in cause trouble and sneaks out."

"Or maybe that job that sounds too good to be true has something to do with it," Kalana says thoughtfully.

"It's as good a theory as any," Imrich agrees with Kalana. "But we should try and find out if the victims have been to visit the hospice before going back there."

Senllip examines the dwarf's ears and nose, but does not see anything out of the ordinary in either of them.
"I don't recall anyone complaining of such pains, but then I suppose not everyone reports every single ache and sore to me, either," Flinn admits.
"I can't imagine why anyone would want influence over any of us," Flinn answers. "We're simple folk who lost their homes, nothing more."
"The trauma of what happened has affected just about everyone in some way or another," Flinn says. "Some are catatonic. Others have depression, or suffer night terrors when they sleep. My daughter," he adds, placing a hand on the little girl at his side, "hasn't been able to speak a word since that day. But I haven't heard any reports of people losing memories or anything like that."
"To be honest, I'm not entirely sure," Flinn admits. "People needed help, so I started giving it. And then everyone just sort of started turning to me. It happened organically, and before I knew it, I was somehow leader. Never intended for it to happen, but it did. If anyone else wanted to take over, I'd happily step aside. But for now, I can't walk away when my people need help."

"Imrich, I'm going to let you look over the body some more," Kalana says. "Jaeron, you too," she adds before slipping out of the tent. "Flinn, do you know if any of the victims took up a job that seemed too good to be true?" she asks.

Jaeron "Oh uh inspect the body? Huh well uh ok...." the gnome didn't fare well in this part of his priesthood "Perhaps if someone has a magnifying glass we could take a closer look and see if there aren't punctures smaller than we can see with our naked eyes?" he suggests.

Senllip goes close to Jaeron and whispers, "Do you think you can help to the little girl? Maybe pray to Octanus on her behalf?" and afterwards he nears the girl to safe distance, pulls one of his picking tools from his bag and starts doing some basic slight of hand tricks, making the small pin to disappear and reappear from ears and noses of his companions in hopes to cheer her up. When Imrich and Kalana concluded their discussion he adds, "I think we should check the camp. Flinn, are all people here use the same water sources and food or are there several different sources?"

"I know a number of us are looking for work," Flinn answers. "The church provides everything we need, but some people want to feel useful. And others want to take their minds off what we faced. Of the victims so far, I know at least three who were looking for work, including the fellow in my tent. I'm unsure if any of them found some, though. The other victims were not looking for any work."
The girl watches wide-eyed, but does not make a sound or speak a word as she does so.
"The church provides us with food and water," Flinn replies. "They bring some each morning and each evening, and they're distributed right here."

Jaeron gives Senllip a curious look "What? Pray to an other god? Are you crazy? Gonto could punish me for such a thing...of course it would be worse if it were one of the more chaotic or evil gods....I'll think about it."
