Senllip stops day dreaming by the rise of the woman tone. "Hey, hey... no need to get angry. I apologize for the way our discussion goes... What exactly is YOUR position with the bloody chains?" he goes down to her but before taking a step whispers to his friend, "Be ready to back me up with arrows"... After arriving to her bows slightly and suggests to escort her up to the deck. "It is impossible to look at the contract from that distance." He extends his hand, "May I see it again please?" Being close to the woman he sneaks professional look to see if she holds any valuables or keys or identifying symbols on her.
=============================================== (OOC: Am I correct to assume she is on the docks and we are on the deck? Senllip wants first to close the distance so she won't run to call for backup and second to have her on the ship so it will be more difficult for her to call the man at arms going along the docks. Obviously none will play along with slavery so he assumes they need to deal with her somehow, but now he tries to buy some time.)

Kalana (Blue Flower Brothel)"She's half-elven, with brown hair and brown eyes," the elf answers. "Answers to the name of Tayla. No idea who might have taken her, she had several clients, as she was fairly popular. You can check her room, but all we found in there were clothes and makeup." Senllip, Jaeron, Johannas and Imrich (Aboard the Blackmoon)Senllip walks down the gangplank to get close to the woman, who is still standing on the docks. She shows him the contract, which is written in Octhanian and, at least as far as he can tell from a glance, legit. However, she does not budge when he gestures for her to follow him back onto the ship. "I am a lieutenant of this branch of the Bloody Chains," she answers. " If you need your captain, fine. I'll give you one hour. Then I'll be returning with law enforcement."
Aside from a pistol on her belt, the woman appears unarmed. She wears no armor, just robes. She also wears bracers and has a ring on both hands.

"Do you have a list of clients that usually visited her?" Kalana asks. "And I'll have to bring the rest of my people here to help check her room. They might see things that I might miss."

Jaeron readies for a spell casting if needed not sure what is going to happen next "Should be no need for authorities and I must admit I am surprised this place has such a thing."

"Well, this is an embarrassing impasse," Imrich notes soberly. "I came here looking for passage off the island and now the only ship in port seems to be caught up in a legal dispute that will shortly lead to it being impounded. Most unfortunate. Just out of interest, madam, how large was the Captain Deyren's debt to your organization?"

Kalana (Blue Flower Brothel) "For purposes of confidentiality, we don't keep lists of our clients," the elf tells her. "Just...don't bring a large group through here, stomping around, disturbing people. And don't bother any of my workers. I am still trying to run a business here, after all."
Senllip, Jaeron, Johannas and Imrich (Aboard the Blackmoon) "Of course there is law enforcement," the woman says. "But who do you think holds their purse strings? As for the debt, it's 15,000 gold pieces. Which would be easy enough to earn, assuming you're more competent than Deyren, at any rate. Slavery is a very profitable business, after all."

"I'll do my best to keep things as quiet as possible, but questioning a couple of your workers that were close to Tayla might help is find her. Co-workers talk about their...customers I'm sure," Kalana says. "But I'll be back to invesigate." With that said, she turns to leave, and heads to the final place on their list to look for a job.

Kalana Ioane (Temple of Pragmatism)Kalana next heads to the local temple, a small but well-maintained building near the center of town. There is a sigil of an erupting volcano just above the door, and based on the idolatry around the entrance, this temple is dedicated to both Gonto and Renos.
Stepping inside, she is greeted by a dwarven man with grey skin, grey beard and completely bald dome. He wears the green vestments of Gonto. "Welcome to the Temple of Pragmatism," he says to her. "Looking to buy some healing, or perhaps some grace?"

Jaeron wonders if perhaps giving this woman Dreyren and the other dead slavers items over would at all help relieve the situation but does not voice this openly unless Senllip steps back so he can say so discreetly where others on the gangplank cannot over hear. "Sen can you come here for a minute?"

"Jaeron would have been interested in this," Kalana says softly to Bayla before the priest approaches. "Ah, yes," she says, glad it was a Gonto priest approaching and not a Renos Priest. "We heard that there might be some work here?"

Kalana (Temple of Pragmatism) "We could use some help on a matter," the priest says. "But it's church business. It would have to be a follower of our faiths."
Senllip, Jaeron, Johannas and Imrich (Aboard the Blackmoon) "Excuse me, dear lady," Senllip says, handing the document back to her, then climbing back up the gangplank to rejoin the others. "What is it?" he asks Jaeron quietly, in whispered tones.

"I understand," Kalana says "And as a member of my crew is a follower of Gonto, I'll be sure to have him return with me." Kalana excuses herself, and returns to the ship with the jobs that she has picked up, only to see some strange woman standing on the dock speaking to her people, and some strange man standing on the ship that she has never seen before. "What is going on here?" she asks as she crosses her arms over her chest.

"Ah, at last! You must be the captain of this ship!" Imrich declares when Kalana has spoken. "Now this situation can hopefully be resolved, madam," he says to the Blood Chains lieutenant.
He walks quickly down the gangplank to Kalana and the woman, extending a hand to Kalana. "Captain, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Imrich, a prospective passenger."
OOC: As he draws level with the woman, Imrich tries to paralyze her using hold person. By my understanding she should have to save vs. paralyzation with a -3 penalty.
If the attempt to hold her fails, his next move will be to try and grab her (overbearing or wrestling, whatever you feel fits best) and threaten to snap her like a twig if she doesn't come along quietly. I.e. he'll roll for Intimidation vs. Str if he manages to grab her. Since an attack roll will be involved to grab her, his spell slay ability will also activate.

Jaeron in whispered tones to Senllip "You think we can buy her silence with whatever is left from the old crew? I just want this woman gone otherwise we're stuck here with no ship or fleeing a war from these slavers. Let alone what happens when the thugs for authorities get involved that I suspect this place harbors. So what do you think try to take her down or see if she will take the best bribe we can offer?"
