"Hmmmm, you may be on to something there," Senllip whispers to Jaeron. "We don't want any trouble here. We've got no gold, no supplies, and this whole island is filled with slavers and pirates. If nothing else, maybe we can buy a bit more time..."
It is at this point Kalana returns to find a woman standing on the dock, talking up at the others still on the ship. A man she's never seen before, a water genasi from the look of him, is up on the ship with the others, and quickly walks down the gangplank to introduce himself.
The woman turns to Kalana. "Then you are the one who captains Deyren's ship? I was just speaking to your crew about--" The woman simply freezes in place, in mid-sentence. As if time itself had suddenly frozen, but only for her, because everyone and everything else continues normally.

Johannes stares at the woman in shock. “Is that...a spell of some sort? Who cast it?”

"What was that, madam? You want to continue your discussions with the captain in private? Of course, though you'll understand if I must take some of the captain's time as well, yes? Well then, allow me to assist you on board." Imrich crowds around the woman, doing his best to block direct line of sight to her from the docks, then wraps one arm around her waist and lifts her up as if she weighed no more than a feather.
Looking straight at Kalana, he whispers: "Captain, now would be an excellent time for you to follow me up that gangplank and to make a show of ushering us both aboard. Once we're safely out of sight, I'm sure your crew will be happy to fill you in on what's going on."
Imrich does his best to manoeuvre the woman so that it appears that she's walking up the gangplank ahead of him, though anyone looking their way would probably consider him to be moving far to close behind her for comfort.
(Assuming they make it aboard without incident...)
"I have cast a holding charm on this woman," Imrich informs the crew. "It won't last very long, so we need to get her out of sight to where she can be properly restrained. The captain's cabin should do nicely."

Kalana looks up at her crew with pure confusion as to what exactly is going on. All she knows, right now, is that this strange man she has never met cast a spell on some strange woman she has never met, and is now carrying the woman onto the ship and telling the crew to restrain her. She isn't about to take orders from the strange man either. She does what is only natural to what appears to be more of a kidnapping situation than anything else, walks up the gang plank after Imrich, her sabers drawn and places the point of her nasty looking blade up against his back. "Jaeron, Johannas, take the woman from this man, and someone better damn well explain to me what is going on before I start slitting throats!' She commands. She is not playing around with whatever this nonsense is.

Jaeron nods and hops to the order "I was preparing to do the same myself to be honest."

“All right,” Johannes replies warily.

Jaeron and Johannas grab the paralyzed woman from the genasi as Senllip explains the situation. "This woman works for the Bloody Chain. She thought we were Deyren and his crew returning to pay his debt. She says since this is our ship now, we have to pay the debt. But none of us are keen on becoming slavers, so I was working out a way to buy us some time when this whole mess happened."

"And this man?" Kalana asks as she has Imrich move on the ship with her saber still at his back. "I would also like to speak to this woman myself, so someone is going to need to release her from the spell."

"This man is named Imrich, captain. I am seeking passage off this island since my business here is done, and your ship is the only one currently in port," Imrich replies calmly.
"This woman has presented proof of ownership for this vessel and stated that Deyren's debt amounts to 15,000 gold pieces, which she expects you to pay off or work off by engaging in slavery on her behalf. When you arrived, she had just given your crew an ultimatum - one hour to make a decision, then she would be back with law enforcement to take your ship."
"Your crew had made it clear that they didn't have the money to pay the debt and that they would not agree to engage in slavery, so frankly, you're in a bit of bind. From what I gathered, you are shorthanded, have no money to hire a crew by yourself, and you were out looking for odd jobs to make that money. Tell me, captain, did you find work that would enable your crew to rake in 15,000 gold any time soon? It seemed to me that you were one hour away from losing your ship and possibly being enslaved yourselves, so I decided to intervene."
"You presently have this woman under your control. She possesses a number of magic items and is likely a wizard herself. I advise you to treat her as an enemy and to take appropriate precautions before speaking to her - remove the items I detail for you and restrain her with manacles, gag and blindfold. Only remove the gag when you have a knife at her throat. Then, by all means, 'negotiate' with her for whatever deal you believe you can make under the circumstances. But from where I'm standing, control of this woman is the only leverage you have against the Bloody Chains. The Chains have numbers, influence, money and the law of the land on their side. You will not get out of this situation by playing fair."

"Kalana, it's only a matter of time before people come looking for this woman," Senllip points out. "I think we have no choice now but to set sail immediately and hope we can get away before they realize what's happened and send ships after us."

Kalana places her sabers back upon her hips, and rubs the bridge of her nose. "I had rather not kidnap this woman though, so how long before this spell wears off?" She asks. "Everyone else, get ready to set sail."

Jaeron "Aye captain." the gnome salutes Kalana in a semi jokingly manner with a slightly silly smile "I will keep casting create water and food to help deal with our food and water situation."

"You have a few more minutes before the charm wears off. If you do not wish to engage any further with the Bloody Chains or even this island, that is certainly your prerogative. Naturally, bringing the woman with you under such circumstances would be an unnecessary burden, but releasing her would be even more foolish. Having met you, she can clearly identify you as the people that seized one of the Bloody Chains' ships. That makes you an enemy of the Bloody Chains whether you wish it or not, and they will make sure you are considered an enemy of the Draskan authorities as well. Remove her from the equation, and there are no other direct witnesses that can finger you. I can do that for you if you wish to retain a clean pair of hands, so to speak."
I'm assuming that Imrich would be aware of roughly how much time he has to engage in debate before his spell wears off. Let me know if greater urgency is required.

“I’m...not sure that’s a good idea...” Johannes says, unsure about killing a helpless woman. “Can’t we just...leave her onshore?”

Imrich gives Johannes a sceptical look. "This woman is no innocent victim. She is a temporarily helpless wizard. Whatever success she currently enjoys in life, you can be sure it's built on the backs of many hundreds of unfortunates that she has helped enslave. The very last thing she deserves is consideration for her plight."
"Captain, time is ticking. If you wish to speak to her, take the necessary precautions I spoke of before the spell runs out. She came alone, and there is no reason to suspect that any of her allies or cronies will come looking for her soon. Likewise, we brought her aboard with no fuss, so it's unlikely that a general alarm has been raised. We can probably hold her for a couple of hours if you want more time to decide on a course of action."
