Would you rather I just played a level two cleric outright then? Seems that may alleviate some issue.

It's actually pretty normal to just give a certain amount of EXP and let everyone do with it as they will. That's what I was asking before I decided on Paladin.

I don't mind you playing the straight cleric or the dual/multi class but I'm just trying to point out that even a set amount of XP is not "fair" to all PC's unless I house rule that all classes require the same exact XP amounts per level to go up a level. That or straight up stealing from other editions and removing XP entirely and just going milestone method.
Sorry for all the "semantics/philosophy/whatever" but either way there is not an entirely "fair" method. The way I have always had it explained to me by other DM's in the past is if they say start at level 2 if you are dual class it is combined both classes to = level 2 so it would be 1/1 not 2/2 and anything higher would all be 1/1/1 or 1/1/1/1 which is basically like saying you are a level 3 or 4 to start with the understanding that leveling up would be "more difficult" at least that is my understanding of how it was explained to me years ago.

Ok. So multi class won’t hit 2/2 until level 4 for straight class characters? Or will they always be a level behind? 3 single = 2/2, 4 single =3/3?

Ok. So multi class won’t hit 2/2 until level 4 for straight class characters? Or will they always be a level behind? 3 single = 2/2, 4 single =3/3? So perhaps I am adding some level to the confusion, I am sorry about that. What I was trying to state is from the start some classes will have an advantage over others and single class is better off XP wise in some cases than the multi and dual classed after creation you all earn XP from the battles and adventurer so granted you will all earn similar amounts of XP along the way but that will not stop a multi or dual class from reaching 2/2 before, after or possibly at the same time as a single getting to level 3 or 4. After the game starts levels wont necessarily be hit at the same times for everyone, and that generally is the case. The whole starting level part is based on how i read it in the module it said to start with so many level 2 characters. Sigh....at any rate if everyone would rather I give everyone the same starting XP then it would be the highest Class XP requirement to reach level 2 granted to everyone to start if that helps at all. Which would mean everyone gets 2,500 XP to start and anyone playing a straight bard or thief starts at level 3 (which in part is why I was trying to avoid straight XP to start a PC)

Do clerics have to be specialty priests in Greyhawk?
What sorta cleric would work best with our current Paladin? I’m thinking a Myrmidon/Cleric (possible special priest) of some war/valor centric deity. What are those options?
Hextor Hieronieous Kord St Cuthbert Pelor
I can never remember if that was a real thing or a house thing, and if I’m completely honest I’m sure the DM house rules from the groups from my youth were likely skewed for extreme power gaming stuff.

Specialty priests are a thing though I will have to look and see if there is one for GreyHawk. I know there is one for the Forgotten Realms and the Player's Handbook has "generic" mentions but nothing overly specific if you go with one they mostly "suggest" things like Cleric of Wisdom and things of that nature. I would suggest looking here, though I will let you know there are a lot of options. dungeonsdragons.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Greyhawk_deities another link within that one is the pantheon for GreyHawk dungeonsdragons.fandom.com/wiki/Greyhawk_pantheon

More Follow-up here I did find that I have a pdf of TSR 116XX Gods of Greyhawk looks like it is from 1st edition but I can make it work for 2nd. So if you want any specifics I can share the pdf with you or just post the info if you have a specific deity in mind.

Well I like myth weavers but the only annoyance i have is that i have to look on another site just to see the character sheets. Honestly I will have to copy the information and add it like Daos has posted his to the PC list so i can view it all on here. Though it would be nice if there was a way to add a myth weavers style sheet like an attachment.

Yeah I’m doing the sheet now, just wanted to get something up for you to gander Thanks. I've saved the 2 myth weavers sheets as PDF files but found as an attachment on here it merely is a link that downloads it rather than views it, Might have to change them to image files but granted that won't be live and updated.

For th record, a Paladin of Mayaheine would almost see himself as subservient to a Priest of Pelor.
