Jaeron "That is because I only had troubled sleep since we got here." he replies to Imrich. Then turning to address Senllip "I spent most of the night tossing and turning, waking up in a sweat. All throughout the night, I had terrible nightmares of that day when pirates took my uncle's boat, and left me in a rowboat with broken oars. It's odd, as it's not something I really think, at least not in some time, much less had bad dreams about. But the nightmares I had last night were so intense, the event might as well had happened yesterday. It truly shook me to my core." the gnome shutters and looks even more haggard and tired stress creases in his brow and worry lines showing on his face.

"It would seem this town is ill named then. There seems to be a distinct lack of serenity here."

"Much like Jaeron, I was plagued with intense nightmares as well," Kalana says with a sigh. "And seemingly about the past. I don't want to go into details, but it has been awhile since I've had nightmares like that."

"So, refugees dropping dead for no reason and two of our crew suddenly suffering from intense nightmares since we landed on this island? This can hardly be a coincidence," Imrich says between mouthfuls of bread and cheese.

"Yeah, my thoughts exactly. We need to check if the refugees complained about nightmares as well. Lack of sleep could be a good reason to die. You two should also check in church or with Saren about curses. If you suddenly start dreaming of something buried deep in your past it might be magic involved." Senllip says while nodding his head and speaking slowly. He remembers that when he lacked sleep, for different reasons of course, he always felt other people are trying to annoy him by speaking fast and loud.

Jaeron "I just hope the ones that died aren't the ones that had the nightmares."

"That is surely a question we can ask Flinn. However, we still haven't decided whether the refugees or the mercenaries are our first priority today."

"Jaeron and I can go back to the church while the rest of you go back to the camp," Kalana says. "If anything, we can ask Saren about the backgrounds of some of these refugees to see if there is a connection between nightmares and their deaths. If there is, then Jaeron and I might be next."

"So, mystery deaths first, mercenaries second, then?"

“Makes sense to me,” Johannes agrees, not having paid much attention to the conversation.

Kalana nods to confirm Imrich's question, and then stands up. "We will meet you three at the camp after we are done," she says before motioning Jaeron to follow her to the church.

Imrich pays for their meals again, and Kalana and Jaeron head off to the massive temple in the center of town while the others presumably head back to the refugee camp.
Kalana and Jaeron (Temple of Octhanus) Once inside the temple, it's easy enough for Kalana and Jaeron to make their way back to Saren's office. Stepping inside, they see he's made some dent in his paperwork, although he still has quite a bit left to go. He is not alone this time. A large, hulking gnoll with blue fur and an unsettling eye twitch and a blonde, blue eyed gnome woman with an infectious grin both are present.
The gnoll in particular bares his teeth and growls lowly at the two when they enter the room. "Easy now, Ozap," Saren says, gesturing for the gnoll to stand down. "They're friends." The gnoll obeys and steps aside. Saren says, "Sorry about him, he's a bit overprotective at times. I hope your presence here means you have good news?" the half-elf asks.
Senllip, Johannas and Imrich (Refugee Camp) The three find the refugee camp just as they left it. They are relieved to learn from Flinn that nobody else died in the night. "But I imagine it won't be long before there's another death, assuming whatever is behind this keeps it up," he says. He looks a tad more haggard than last time they saw him, as if he didn't sleep well and probably hasn't' been for some time.

Imrich pays 3 silver each for their meals, totaling 1 GP and 5 SP.
It is now 10 AM.

"I'm afraid not yet," Kalana says. "But my friend and I might be on to a theory, so we wanted to ask you a few more questions," she explains. "Jaeron and I both had extremely intense nightmares last night about past events in our personal lives, and we were wondering if any of the victims had the same as well before they passed."

Jaeron merely nods his head as Kalana speaks agreeing entirely with what she is saying/asking.
