He stops to spit on the floor and feels the bitterness of defeat welling up inside him, along with an unexpected spark of his ancestral magic. Silently, he extends his will to paralyse the Crimson Wolves' leader.
Actions Hold person has range 120 yards so I assume the boat is still well within that range even if it's close to entering the tunnel out of the cavern.
Cast hold person on the mage. Imrich is only targeting him, so he takes a -3 penalty to his save vs. PPD.
If the spell works and causes the expected uproar amongst the slavers, Imrich will immediately shout to the captives that anyone who doesn't want to be hauled off to slavery should jump overboard right away - Imrich and the party will get them ashore.

Senllip looks after the boat saying waiting to see if some slaves will listen to Imrich and ready to rescue them would that be the case.

Frustrated with themselves, Kalana and Jaeron step back through the door and into the previous room. Unwittingly, this may have saved their lives.
Unable to help himself, Imrich casts his final spell at the leader, hoping to paralyze him. However, it doesn't work. The wizard, immediately sensing someone just tried to magick him, suddenly becomes furious. "How dare--!" Despite how fast the boat is floating away, he is still well within range and starts casting. A ball of flame zips from his fingertips, right toward the remaining party members. Upon contact, it explodes.
When the smoke clears, Senllip and Imrich both lay on the ground, having been charred beyond recognition.
As the boat is carried away, the wizard's triumphant laughter can be heard echoing down the tunnel for some time.

Jaeron runs back to see what has happened to Sen and Imrich and is shocked at the scorched remains. "Captain! Come quick! Oh Gonto they're dead!"

Kalana hears the explosion and she suddenly gets this gut wrenching feeling in the pit of her stomach. What could have happened within the mere seconds it took for her to walk through the door? Upon hearing Jaeron calling for her, she makes her way to see for herself what she knows she is going to find (especially since she heard Jaeron say that they were dead). She looks down at the charred remains, and clenches her fists in anger. She doesn't know what happened or where the explosion came from, but the result was two more members of her crew dead. "That bastard," she says angrily, looking towards where the ship has disappeared. "The sheriff said something about raising people," she finally says as she looks back down at the charred remains. "So we need to get them to the temple, but we should probably cover them first." While she seemed relatively calm, this was playing havoc on her mentally, not that she was going to show it. Three people, under her command, have died.

Jaeron tries to help cover the remains "Can they even be raised in this state? I can't even tell which one is which." he says frustrated and also trying to choke down his emotions. "I certainly will remember that mage. Gont help me I won't be able to abide by the sheriff's laws if I see that mage again."
