Rose nods silently to Kalana, but only looks at Senllip blankly, as if not understanding.

"Jaeron, you're a man of letters. Do you happen to have a pen and somepaper on you that Rose might borrow?"

"Senillp, I know you are trying to help," Kalana says. "But I think you might be just confusing her more than anything else." She looks to Jaeron or even Johannas to see if they have the paper needed for this drawing. "Or, do you have some paper Flinn?" she asks.

Jaeron "Oh uh yes I think I do." the gnome fumbles about his pockets and pack and hands over the paper/parchment and something to write or draw on it with to Rose.

"Maybe you can her the same. Maybe she understand only females... After all it was simple question. She pointed at something above me and none of us saw it. Now she says there was something besides the dwarf. Was it the same or not?" Senllip says to Kalana. "And she can draw in the sand as all kids do... I don't see a lot of people draw pictures on papers."

"We're not on a beach, Senllip. There's no sand here," Imrich notes quietly. "Let's wait and see what Rose can show us, eh?"

Rose accepts the piece of parchment and the ink quill handed to her by Jaeron, sits down on the ground, and starts drawing. It is...crude, but then again, this is a ten year old child. She draws the following: (OOC: Click to enlarge.)

Kalana picks up the drawing once Rose is done, and looks it over before she looks down at Rose. "So Senillp said that you pointed to something while everyone was talking to your dad. Is this what you saw?" she asks, showing the drawing to her again.

Jaeron "That kind of looks like a beholder to me..hmmm"

"If it's a beholder, it's upside down," Imrich notes drily. "Rose, dear, have you seen this thing more times than in the tent with us and when you found the dwarf? Is it here now?" he asks Rose as gently as he can. "Just nod for yes and shake your head for no."

Rose shakes her head to Kalana's question, and shakes her head to both of Imrich's questions.

"Can any of you think of anymore questions? Kalana asks. "At this point, it seems we are looking for this creature," she says holding up the drawing.

Jaeron "Hmm perhaps when was the most recent time she saw it and were there more than one of them? Did the creature have a name maybe."

"Also if she saw these creatures back at the attack on Tu'Valie, and if she can also draw what she pointed at that was above me this morning." Senllip asks Kalana not wanting to swarm the kids with old people demands.

"I saw a lot of strange creatures in the Tu'Valie attack, but nothing like this," Flinn says. "And...you should be aware...my daughter has, at times, an overactive imagination."
Rose frowns at this.
"What?" he asks her defensively. "Remember when you insisted that our neighbor, Mister Coral, was secretly hiding unicorns in his closet, and you tried to break into his home to free them?" Flinn asks her. "Or what about when you swore up and down that there was a portal to the Goblin Kingdom under your bed, and each night they'd slip in and cause a mess, and that's why your room was so untidy?"
Rose goes into full pout mode, then crosses her arms and turns her back to him.
Flinn turns back to the others. "You probably should take all this stuff about a monster with a grain of salt. If there was a beholder, or whatever that was, floating around camp, I'm pretty sure somebody would have noticed it by now. Besides, what is it eating? How is it surviving? It doesn't really make any sense."
