Alright, 35 light crossbows comes to 1,225 GP. Assuming 10 bolts each, that's 35 GP for ammunition.

Standing on the starboard [OOC] That's the front, right? [/OOC] Starboard is the right, port is the left, stern is the back, aft is the front. (OOC: I'm lost again with NPC names and who on what ship. Could you please make some order in it? I assume only the main parts need names as no one will try to remember 35 peoples names, but in game a good captain will try to know each one personally. Second, having pirates crew is dangerous. Mutiny and all... I think we should recruit more people and mix and match our teams. Also, if any one of them was a slaver it won't pass without notice...) I can come up with names for the 15 people in his crew. He has no officers (i.e., henchmen) currently, though. Goodman Hanzel (Male Half-Elf) Sanborn Nunnally (Male Halfling) Wilson Rexx (Male Human) Gibbes Rutland (Male Dwarf) Arden Shayde (Male Half-Orc) Athelstan Heinrik (Male Elf) Faron Damien (Male Human) Ardella Vance (Female Elf) Aurore Garrick (Female Dwarf) Hallie Obsidian (Female Elf) Aletha Steele (Female Human) Mina Richard (Female Elf) Clemmie Balthier (Female Human) Veva Holton (Female Human) Lida Salvotore (Female Human)

Brax's crew was hired from the exact same port, so...yes, it's the same situation. Cutthroats and scalawags, the lot of them. Are you asking me to roll up a list of names for your crew, too?

Nah I don't care about their names unless it has importance to the story or roleplay. I just wasn't sure if I had the same type of crew or silghtly different like old fishermen or something.

Well, generally I don't care about the crew as well. But Bayla and Aui'li were very upset when we didn't include them in our discussions, only reacted to their words. And that's when they did have names. People without names is easier to neglect. Having NPCs names makes it easier to keep them in the story. If there is someone in the team who is exceptionally good, or exceptionally disappointed, or exceptionally troublemaker it's good to have names attached to them to make the story more realistic.
Senllip will try to identify few reliable people which are good workers, help others and seem to have good relationships. From them he will appoint as first mate the most experienced one.

Yes but I feel those NPCs were a bit more like fellow PCs to some extent where as the crew is less so.
At any rate if we want crew names I can always generate names for mine if need be.

Keep in mind, though, that Auli'i and Bayla are officers/henchmen, with class levels. So they do expect to be treated differently than level 0 crewmen/hirelings. (Also, Bayla in particular is very much an attention seeker; it's part of her personality, she doesn't like being ignored.)

I remember and wish I had remembered that as my gnome cleric but Bayla is not on Brax's ship so I guess that is for someone else to remember for now.

Does a leader that goes first to battle considered a bravery or weakness among pirates? Well, keep in mind that Senllip is a 8th level adventurer with magical gear, while his crew are all level 0 sailors with 3-4 HP, no armor, and armed only with belaying pins and light crossbows. So him sending them out first would be considered pretty cowardly by anyone's standards.

Right. Point taken. It is just that we usually try to help the others, but it might sometimes be seen as lack of authority.

So, I don't think a healer is going to be much help for a bunch if lvl0 sailors.
