CH. 06 - Wave Echo Cave

Fosco drops his backpack again (and hopefully won't forget it this time) and draws his rapier, then moves into the room and stabs at the third ghoul as it swipes at Zoya.  Both Zoya and Iroas protect themselves with their shields, standing before Orianna.  Zoya then counters, slashing the ghoul across the chest, killing it.  "Stay back," she says to Orianna as the feeling starts to return to her body.

"And don't attack the turned one until the others are dealt with," Iroas adds, smacking his opponent with his mace.  Balasar puts an arrow into that one, as well.

Orianna backs away once she is able to get up as told, but she does try to fire an arrow at one of the undead creatures that isn't turned.

While the unturned ghoul slashes away at Iroas, who keeps the corpse at bay with his shield, Fosco and Zoya both stab it, taking it down.  This leaves just the turned ghoul in the corner.  Orianna puts an arrow into it, wounding it further but also dispelling the turning.  Iroas moves in closer, switching to his crossbow and putting a bolt into it.  Balasar then moves into the room and puts another arrow into it, ending its life for the second time.

Balasar "Yeah guess that means the same folks raising undead in that ruin might be at work in this pace as well."

"Should we take a quick rest?" asks Iroas.  "This room is a good place for it, if you don't mind the smell.  And if there are any more undead, I'll need a bit to recharge before I can try turning any more," he admits.

While Zoya and Balasar drag the ghoul corpses out into the hall, Iroas and Orianna take a rest while Fosco plays a soothing song for them.  After about 20 minutes, Orianna feels a lot better.
