The fellow emerging from the woods is garbed in mottled greens, greys and browns designed to blend into the surrounding wilderness. He bears a longbow, half-drawn and pointed in the general direction of the giant amphibians. He nods silently to the group in acknowledgement, and circles a wide path around the sleeping beasts to stand near the others. [Roughly 10-15 feet south of the area between the party members so they are in earshot of speaking at a normal conversational level] As he draws nearer more features are visible. His shoulder-length chestnut hair almost blends into his clothing, and is loosely tied behind his neck with a thin leather strip. Piercing, cold green eyes remain on the sleeping Frogs with a steady, dispassionate gaze reminiscent of how a wolf might regard potential prey.
A bristling quiver and short-sword adorn his waist at opposite sides affixed to a leather-harness belted over his studded leather armor. The hilt of a longsword peeks over his shoulder. A small wooden buckler stands affixed to one arm holding the half-drawn bow, still aimed in the direction of the creatures. He moves with typical Elven grace, and the weapons seem as natural on him as limbs on a tree.
In a somewhat emotionless tone he finally speaks, Everyone alright?
==== Basically moving up to half his movement (60 ft) in as wide an arc as possible south? (down on the map) around the sleeping frogs and Holding Attack to fire an arrow only if one of the frogs becomes active. Intent is to end up between the 4 party members but about 2 squares (10 ft?) south of the line of squares they are on.
Does he recognize these Giant Frogs as part of a natural ecosystem? Do they aggressively damage their environment? Asking for motivations and because of the earlier comment that they "attack madly for they are voraciously hungry at all times." Did Tristen see what became of Obasi?

Kevril offers thanks to Mayaheine as he rams his hand-and-a-half sword into one of the frogs chest, seeking it's heart. He feels no compunction against striking a defenseless foe, as these creatures are a danger to the people of the region, as they had proven by attacking his friends without provocation. He turns to finish another sleeping frog as the elf steps out of the trees. He halts, putting himself between the newcomer and his companions. sword at the ready.
"Well met, stranger. What brings you here this morning?"

Running your sword through most of the frogs makes easy work of them however the one you recall seeing a boot sticking out of the mouth the sword hits something a bit more solid it's like running your blade through the frog and something or someone else. That someone else was wearing armor apparently. The boot flops out of the frogs mouth and you see a humanoid foot the frog is quite dead and so is whomever was inside it.

Someone screamed about being eaten. I intended to prevent that. He regards the booted foot sticking out of the giant frog. Perhaps too late... Well met. I am Tristen. He replies simply. One might get the sense that even so few words were uncommon for him. His manner seems unaccustomed to social interaction, but utterly unphased by the somewhat gruesome scene before him. He will assist executing any remaining frogs (stab trough spine behind the skull). Once that is done he will take his short sword and set about exhuming the corpse from the bloated toad. He will examine said corpse lightly (not rummaging through belongings, looking at face and injuries)
You know him,?

The body is removed from the frog and nobody recognizes the fellow. The being that was removed is a half-elf wearing ring armor, that other than being covered in the slime and other goo of the insides of a giant frog is otherwise in good condition. Aside from the removed boot the matching one is on the other foot. A dagger is still in the sheath on his belt, along with a small belt pouch. A buckler is strapped to one arm and a falchion sword that must have been in his hand at one time was recovered from inside the frog. If the fellow had a pack it is not found with him. No helm adorns his head, he has clothing of a woodsman a dark green cloak. Other than that you find he has leather gloves on, and another dagger sticking out of the one boot that remains on his foot.
All of the frogs are dispatched and now one is partially dissected.

Tristen closes his fellow woodsman's eyes. and stands, waiting to see what the others will do.
=== Since he's been roaming around a bit does he know of a suitable place where he might return the woodsman's body to the Earth where animals won't molest it?

With the panic and adrenaline of the sudden battle wearing off, Daos then suddenly tenses again upon the elf's arrival. Who was this man? One of the bandits? His arm still stung quite a bit, so he wasn't sure he was up for another fight so quickly.
Upon retrieving the dead man from the frog, Daos looks him over, but doesn't recognize him. He could have been a local who arrived in town after Daos left. Or maybe he was one of the bandits. Or perhaps he was some errant adventurer, much like themselves, who didn't get too far on his own.
"Uhhh...I'm Daos," he says in way of greeting. He wasn't sure if he should say anything more than that. If this elf was with the bandits, announcing they were sent here by Berne and Rufus might be a bad idea. He looked to the others, hoping one of them might know what to say. It's only then that he notices one of them is missing. Looking around quickly, he says, "Wait, where's Obasi?"

"There weren't nobody screaming here," Roshek huffs in reply to the newcomer. "I just hate frogs, that's all. Name's Roshek. I serve Muamman Duathal." ---
"Was that your spell that dropped the frogs, Narya? An inspired choice, then," he complements the elf. ---
"Whoever he was, that poor soul can't have been swallowed too long ago. Everything's slimy but still fresh, from the looks of things," Roshek comments the body the party pulls from the frog. "This fellow deserves a decent burial, I suppose, but if anyone feels the need for an extra blade now would be a good time to lift them from his body. He won't need them where he's going. I'll have a look in that there pouch." ---
"Obasi? That's strange, I thought he was right behind us? Wait! There aren't more frogs, are there?" Roshek answers Daos, worry creeping into his voice. ---
OOC: Roshek checks the corpse's pouch for valuables ad anything that can I.D. him.

Tristen nods in greeting at the half-elf and Dwarf who have now intoduced themselves. Tristen. He also nods in acknowkedgement of Narya when Roshek mentions her spell. At the comment about burying the man he adds, I know a place. He watches the rest of the activity passively.
=== How well would Tristen know the area? Such as where Hommlet is and other areas of interest. He would only go to the community at first to get the 'lay of the land' as it were, and then likely only at necessity (like supplies).
My thought is that he came to Hommlet to aid the villagers, but he is far more comfortable in the wild. He would pick off straggling bandits as possible or aid travelers beig ambushed, or attacked by creatures, etc.

Obasi nowhere to be see appears to have gone off on his own for some reason or perhaps you lost him on the path. As for the pouches contents there are coins though they do not appear to be of local mint from Hommlet. The coins look to have come from Nulb another village in the area. The amount of coin totals to roughly 15 gp 10 sp, also inside the pouch is a crest that looks like a unicorn's head symbol of those who worship Ehlonna is the goddess of Forests, Woodlands, Flora, Fauna, and Fertility. Aside from that nothing is found that would identify the half-elf.

"Well, he seems to have been a god-fearing man, at least," Roshek notes, dangling the symbol of Ehlonna for all to see. "And a traveller too, from the looks of things. These coins are from Nulb, as far as I can tell. Well, waste not, want not. I'll hang onto these until we get back to Hommlet" he says, pocketing the gold and silver.
"I suggest we put him somewhere away from the water for now. We can bury him properly after we've scouted the moathouse."

Tristen nods in recognition of the symbol of Ehlonna. The elf will help move the woodsman away from the water for a temporary but safe place to lay him. He glances up at the Dwarf's other remark. What brings you to the moathouse?

"Uhhh...why don't you tell us what you're doing here first?" Daos asks the elf awkwardly. "It's kind of dangerous out here to be alone, right?"

Tristen nods, finding the request quite reasonable. I am a Pathfinder. I help people find their way through the wilderness, and I protect them while they are in my care. But... the people here need help. No secret what has happened here in the past. People need help, so I help. He shrugs at the remark about being alone, I am not a very... social creature... I prefer to be in nature.
== bit of an assumption on what Tristen knows but it is based on the intro post. let me know if I need to correct it.

Narya is wary of the stranger - even though his elven heritage should tell her otherwise. Once the frogs are dispatched, she looks over the assembled gear of the poor soul who did not fare as well as they did. Her eyes flash blue as she looks over the items. She will look over the new comer and the her companions as well, for good measure.
