"Anyone have any rope?" Daos asks his companions. He'll search the room should nobody have any, in hopes of finding some.

(ooc: checked character sheet gear only Roshek has rope from the looks of it.)

"My rope's back with my mule, but we can use the rope that Tristen used for the chest if someone goes to get it," Roshek suggests. He then busies himself with disarming all the bandits, moving their weapons outside the room.

"So, what's our next move after restraining this fellow?" Narya asks.

[though not stated, Tristen would have wanted to keep his rope with him after the chest-wrangling. he will ket anyone in the group use it to restrain the bandits while he covers them, or would be willing to apply restraints if someone else covers]

(ooc: that is fine we can just assume you kept it. It is very possible that I missed it when looking at the sheet posts. You can skip that bit in IC)
The bandit does not put up a fight and doesn't even attempt to make a run for it seeing the tide change from in his favor to highly out of his favor he grumbles to himself sounds almost like a growl. But he has a look of perhaps importance compared to the others he was the only bandit with a sword and shield, he is the only one wearing chain mail armor rather than leather armor that the others have on. The bandit that was slain is the only other one not wearing armor he had on ring mail armor and had a crossbow and flail with a shield on his back. Merely by looks you would say the man surrendering is probably the leader and the dead one was probably his second in command. You tie the man up question is now what?

Daos uses Tristen's offered rope to tie up the man who surrendered, and the sleeping bandits, as well. Once that is done, he says, "You are hereby under arrest, per the authority of the people of Hommlet. You will be brought there to face trial for your crimes." With that out of the way, he decides to start the questioning with a fairly simple one. "What is your name?"

"Alright...Knuckles Rai," Daos says. It was an odd name, and probably not the man's birth name, but it didn't really matter, either. "Why are you and your men committing banditry in these parts? Surely men as skilled as you could find more honest work."

Narya gives a confused expression. "So, why are you called Knuckles? Do you go around punching people with spiked gloves, or whatnot?"

Rai answers both questions with one reply "What does it matter to you?"

"Curiosity," Narya answers. She bends down to examine Knuckles' knuckles.

"It matters to me, because this is my home," Daos replies. "In my own experiences, I've found that banditry is often a symptom of a larger problem. A poor economy, too few jobs, taxes being too numerous or too high--that sort of thing. Rounding you and your men up and tossing them into jail won't do much good if more bandits will spring up in your place."

Roshek gives Daos a curious look, but remains silent for the moment.
