Part 1: The Village of Hommlet

[Daos]

"And you feel that banditry is your calling?  Well, that's disappointing," Daos admits.

[GravityEmblem]

"Oh, banditry is a nice niche for people with no skills, talents, and passions," Narya says, still examining his knuckles. "The ones with combat ability turn to banditry. The ones without sell secondhand horses."

[Rax]

"This man's reasons for banditry aren't of any interest to me," Roshek interjects. "His fate and that of his men are up to the competent authorities to deal with. What I want to know is where they've stashed the goods and coin they've stolen. How about it, 'Knuckles'? Give up your loot and perhaps the village will go easier on you, eh?"

OOC: If Knuckles isn't talking, Roshek will wake and question one of the rank-and-file bandits. If no information is forthcoming, he'll search the room, and in any case, he'll also pat down all the bandits for valuables.

Rai looks at his knuckles noticing Narya staring at them. They're a bit scarred from plenty of bare fist fighting "You should see the other guy." Spitting on the floor towards the dwarf "What the hell you want with our stash? You find it yerself."

[Daos]

"As my companion said," Daos says, gesturing to Roshek, "we wish to return it to the people you stole it from."

Rai "Good luck finding them."

The others tied up and disarmed now come too from the sleep spells except for the one dead bandit. They look around wondering what the hell happened. One of them speaks up "What in the hell happened Rai? They got mages eh? Sneaking magic wielding bastards!"

[Daos]

"Actually, my parents were married at the time of my conception," Daos points out.

Narya, annoyed at the mouthy bandit, kicks him in the face. "Don't worry, you should still have all your teeth," she reassures.

"Hey, hey, enough of that!" Daos cries out at Narya's attack.  "They are defeated, tied up and unarmed.  There's no honor in striking them when they can't defend themselves.  Or are we no better than bandits ourselves?"

Narya sighs. "It's not like I stabbed him, Daos." Despite her grumbling, she does abide.

The mouthy bandit spits out blood and a tooth but otherwise says and does nothing. The others bound up act as if to get up but hold back with a look from their leader and then a glance to the dead bandit. 

Rai "Fine enough. I'm a rough mouthy guy but I ain't entirely stupid. The stash is buried in the rubble over there. As for the stairs the landing they come to is just rubble and impassible. As for beyond that we haven't found any special passages or anything. Just the stairs to the store room west of this room. Infested with rats so we don't go back there."

"Oh, sorry about that," Narya apologizes for being mistaken about the tooth. She picks it up, examines it, and places it in her components pouch.

"Did you find anything?" Daos asks Roshek.

Each bandit has ek694VlA3d6 sp on them. The dead bandit has 2d4 gp & 3d4 ep. Rai has 4d4+1 pp & 1d2 citrines & is wearing a gold chain. Other than that the following is found on each.

Dead Bandit: mace, medium shield, ring mail armor, & a light crossbow.
Rai: chain mail armor, longsword, medium shield.
Other bandits: 5x Leather armor, 2 light crossbows, 3 javelins, 1 halberd, 1 voulge, 1 club, 1 hand axe, 1 spear, 2 short swords, 1 flail, 1 studded leather armor.3d6·2d4·3d4·4d4+1·1d2
