Daos silently watches the tabaxi walk out. He then turns his attention to the others, curious as to what their own answer might be.

Of course! We're heroes, after all, and this is what heroes do: save the people from evil-doers. We'd be derelict in our heroism if we weren't protecting the common folk from ruffians and scoundrels. Alonzo turns and strides away, speaking softly to his brother. This will be fun! And give you a good foundation for a new song, of course.

"You pointed, I go and kill." Qurrak said simply, following the others.

Aerendyl vaer Tharandiir, Paladin of BahamutHP: 12 of 12 | AC: 15 | Perception: 12 | Insight: 12 | Inspiration: 0 Conditions: None.Aerendyl could only shake his head at some of his companions responses. While he, himself, hoped to be able to apprehend the renegade without having to take his life, he could understand the bull headed tribal warrior's approach to the venture, and intent to slay his prey. However, Alonzo's declaration of their heroic status, and intent, left the Paladin feeling uncomfortable, he shouldered past the eloquent man. "Do not deign to speak for me in future, good Ser. He who declares himself hero, is often further from the truth than even he, himself, is aware."

"Very well," Chesham says. "I wish you all best of luck."
All of you (excluding Snow-Fall, who seems to have decided against taking the job) gather at the northwest edge of town, preparing to leave.
"Hold," Judge Menlo says, approaching the group. "I have a proposition for you." Before you get a chance to get a word in, he continues, "Mayor Chesham is too soft-hearted for his own good. Draft's banditry alone is enough to warrant execution, let alone consideration of his other crimes. But Jonah won't sign the death warrant--he'll just put him in prison, where he's escaped before and will escape again. I've tried to convince him that death can be the only fate that awaits Grawnem, but he refuses. I would prefer not to go behind his back, but I will do what I must to protect Ren. I understand that the Mayor will pay you more for Draft alive, but I am willing to give you 250 gold, out of my own pocket, to kill him. With the reward from the Mayor on top of that, killing him will become more profitable than capture."

"We will...consider your offer, your honor," Daos says noncommittally. There was no reason to make a decision here and now, especially if doing so might force a conflict. Still, he wondered how the others would see it. Are they more concerned with justice or profit?

Qurrak didn't answered, just wrapped her shielded hands rather akwardly.

"I hope you will consider my offer," Menlo says, bowing as he leaves. "I believe Draft's death is the only way to protect Ren."
The party sets off to Bandit's Cave. The sights are nondescript--grass, hills, some trees, and the occasional pack of 6 wolves.

Conditions: None.Menlo's offer left Aerendyl unsettled, as he departed, the young man turned to his companions, "Hopefully we are not sincerely considering the man's offer? To side step one's Lord is an act of dishonor, this man must be brought to justice, to determine the truth of the claims against him. If he is to be killed, it must be after he has been found guilty in the eyes of the law." However, before his companions could reply, the low growl of a wolf pack attracted his attention.
