After Norris has departed and Ingot has been roused and removed from the ring, the herald returns. She announces, "This second match of the second round is one of law against chaos! First, we have the mysterious and anonymous Midnight Bandit!" The small woman garbed in black returns to the ring, to boos and hisses from the crowd.
"Their opponent is Kohen Viondre Fuller of the Enforcers!" The overly tall aasimar also returns to the ring, but is greeted by cheers and hoots.
"Does size really matter?" the herald asks. "Let's find out!"

Viondre comes in swinging first, with her mace. The Midnight Bandit does a backflip to avoid it, then tumbles around to stab the aasimar in the back, wounding her gravely.
Furious, Viondre turns to face the bandit. "You will pay for that, in the name of Gonto!" She begins to pray, and freezes the bandit in place, so she cannot move or attack at all.
"The Midnight Bandit is unable to battle! That means the winner is Kohen Viondre Fuller of the Enforcers!" the herald announces.

After Viondre and the so-called Midnight Bandit have left the ring, the herald returns. She announces, "This third match of the second round pits one warrior against another! First, we have the mysterious and anonymous Knight Errant!" The warrior, their face still hidden by their helmet, returns to the ring.
"Their opponent is Henna the Mercenary!" The red-haired half-elf steps up, eying her opponent as if trying to deduce who it might be under all that armor.
"Who has the superior skill with a blade? Knight or Merc?" the herald asks. "Let's find out!"

The bout begins, and the two start to circle each other. The Knight Errant is almost half a foot taller than the half-elf, but she does not appear intimidated by that fact. The two take a few weak swings at each other, testing the other's defenses. Henna feints to the left, then strikes at the right. The Knight anticipates this, and blocks with their shield, before ducking in and slashing their sword at the half-elf's leg, drawing blood.
Henna quickly backs off, then takes a moment to examine her leg. "Not bad. Trained by Fritog, I see. That's one of his favorite maneuvers," she comments. The Knight Errant does not respond.
The pair exchange a few more blows, and Henna spots an opening. She strikes fast like a viper, despite the size of her weapon. The Knight just barely gets their shield up in time, deflecting the blow. This leaves Henna off-balance just long enough for him to retaliate, leaving a nasty cut across her back. She quickly whirls around to face him and protect her back. "Okay, that's cute. But I think it's time to end this," she mutters, no longer amused.
As they circle each other, Henna starts to spin her halberd, end over end, like it was a staff. The blade starts to make a whooshing noise as it gains speed and starts to cut through the air as it spins. The Knight hesitates, not sure what to make of it. Then, without any warning, Henna strikes with furious speed. The spinning halberd's butt comes down toward the Knight, who moves to parry with their sword. But it was a feint, and reversing her momentum, Henna instead directs the blade to the Knight's leg, cutting into it. The Knight falls to one knee, and using her continuing momentum, Henna then strikes the Knight in the head. Their helmet takes the worst of it, but it is knocked slightly off. Ladonna and Lillian only get a quick look of platinum hair, but the Knight quickly drops their sword to refit the helm into place.
Henna, however, just stands there, slack-jawed, as she had apparently seen the face underneath. She seems completely stunned.
Slowly and warily, the Knight picks up their sword again and stands up. This seems to snap Henna out of it. She lowers her halberd and says loudly, "I forfeit!" Then spins on her heel and walks away. The Knight holds up a hand, as if to call out to stop her, but then doesn't and simply lowers it.
The audience, having no idea what is happening, just stares in confusion. The herald, equally shocked by the sudden turn of events, manages to snap out of it and announces, "Uh, Henna forfeits, so the winner is the Knight Errant!"

Lillian is, initially, as confused as the rest of the audience. Then, she starts to think. Hard. Henna forfeited because she recognized the Knight Errant's face, but it wasn't just somebody she knew personally (like, say, an old flame). Otherwise, she probably wouldn't have forfeited. Perhaps this Errant had authority over her? And that's why she forfeited? And the hair... Lillian racks her mind for anybody who could fit those constraints. Then it comes to her.
"...is that the Baroness?" Lillian whispers to Ladonna. It would certainly explain the disguise--avoiding gossip and opponents forfeiting out of a desire to not hit their Baroness with a weapon. True, the very notion seemed ridiculous, but why join a tournament in secret if your involvement is not ridiculous? And there is the hair-though perhaps Lillian is misremembering the shade a bit. Was it truly platinum, or more of a silver?

As the crowd murmurs to themselves, the Knight Errant quickly exits the ring.
The herald returns and tries to calm the crowd. "Well, that was...something, right? "The fourth match of the second round pits sinner versus saint! First, we have Ladonna the Liar!" The crowd boos and hisses.
"Her opponent is Kohen Oskibor Ramot of the Minters!" The crowd applauds as the young, beardless dwarf returns to the ring.
"Well, I know who I'm rooting for!" the herald states, and the audience cheers in agreement.
