Drezden kneels down and starts to patch up Zedd, trying to keep him from bleeding out. He does so, but now he has both giant skeletons and a zombie on him, and he manages to get bruised a bit by one of the former. Kendrivel and Dallion both slash their weapons at the zombies, but the walking corpses don't seem to even be affected by the blows. Malavar puts another big crack in one of the giant skeletons; a couple more blows like that, and he should destroy it. Meanwhile, the remaining zombies close the ranks, and the party is now entirely surrounded, with nowhere to go. Most of them manage to dodge the flurry of blows coming at them, but Kendrivel is unlucky and takes a hit, going down. Drezden turns his attention away from the giant skeletons, and instead targets one of the zombies. With a slash of his enchanted blade, he manages to sever the corpse's left arm straight off. While this would likely kill or at least stun a living man, the zombie barely seems to notice. Before it can retaliate, though, the giant skeletons both slam their clubs into Drezden hard, nearly knocking the dwarf off his feet. Only through grim determination does he fight back the darkness threatening to overtake him, and remain conscious. Dallion cuts his blade into a zombie's shoulder, then quickly picks up the fallen Sword of the Dales. The elf feels a surge of power coming from the weapon; but will it be enough to save him? Malavar slams his spear once more into the second giant skeleton, striking it right in the spine at just the right angle, causing the entire thing to fall apart, clattering to the ground. The priest's victory is short-lived, however. The zombies move in closer, tightening their ranks, and attacking from all sides. Unable to withstand any more, Drezden goes down. Dallion's assessment of the situation proves quite apt. Although he manages to use the Sword of the Dales to cut down one of the zombies, another one quickly pummels the bladesinger into submission shortly after. Malavar is now left alone, the zombies and remaining giant skeleton surrounding him from all sides, his acquaintances all laying on the ground, dying. In response, there is a flash of white light as divine power courses through Malavar's mortal frame--only a fraction of the god's true power, but enough to frighten about half of the zombies clawing at him. All of the remaining zombies lurch away in terror, toward the southern end of the room to join their skeletal companions. The giant skeleton, however, appear unaffected.
