I look forward to reading it. No rush, though. I don't think Chris has even started yet on his (or if he has, he hasn't shared any of it with me). You can post it here and use the whisper command to conceal the parts you don't want the other players to see or you can just PM it to me for complete privacy.

Appearance: Rivi is tall and slender yet his physique is whipcordAppearance: Rivi is tall and slender yet his physique is whipcord strength. he’s often seen in his red studded armor, cape and wide brimmed hat a long silver feather in it he has pail blue eyes and silver hair and is my avatar. he is quite but has a since of humor once you get to know him but he tends to have thoughts that others would call “odd” but when he’s in his element(cooking or behind a bar) he is lively and full of good cheer
History: rivi had a troubled childhood his father was a sadistic necromancer his mother a captured elf warrior. he had tried to do necromantic experiments on their fetuses. once she found out she was pregnant she escaped and fled. she spent the first 50 years of his life running and teaching him to fight. Sadly she was caught off gourd by a new undead abomination of rivi’s father’s creation. A large monster of bone and sinew in the vague shape of a dryder from the underdark. The beast was made of a desperate collection of bones. She couldn’t escape with him so she commanded rivi to run. Sobbing he fled and hid in a human settlement. Running blinder by fear and sadness he found himself in the cellar of a local woods woman. she took him in and he became her apprentice she taught him his modest amount of magic but more importantly his love of cooking once he was old enough he left looking to make his own mark on the world
He came to Buho Village feeling like a home he could work with and became employed in the Goblin's Tooth Tavern as a cook
Motivation: rivi loves to cook and dreams of running a frontier tavern. even being the leader of a frontier town but for that he need capital and friends in high places. he plans to open the inn and small town with the a feel of a place for all. It’s motto we all love a good meal and a good ale.
Secret: his father is a well know necromancer either dead or alive up to you and rivi also fears he will be tempted by that dark art and works hard not to think about how interesting that power could be

Okay. I have some questions.
How old is he supposed to be? In this setting, all races age at the same rate (as mentioned in the Lost Souls Handbook in the races section). You mentioned the first 50 years of his life, but I assume you don't intend him to be fairly old.
Does he know the fate of his mother? Does he assume she's dead or have confirmation on that? Does he ever worry about his father finding him? Does he have any desire to seek his father out (for revenge, for answers, whatever)?
The woodswoman who took him in...she was some kind of hedgemage or witch or something?
How long ago did he move to Buho?

ya i missed the age thing hes 30 the "first 50" would be until he was say 5 then he live with the witch for another 5 years and then moved to Buho fairly young but skilled enughf as a cook to make him useful as say a dish boy until he grew into his cook role
he doesn't know if she died for sure (once again ill leave that up to you) but he believes she is dead. yes he dose fear his father but only as a boggy man to some degree. he never knew him. only that they had to run from him. if he could overcome the fear he would want revenge or if you were to have his mother not be dead and require a rescue he would be all over that
she is a witch but kind of a medicine woman for a small village as well not fared maybe even a midwife
hes lived there for 20 years growing up there to some degree. he would have lied about how old he was when he got there to get a job and be in a kitchen

So basically then:
He spends the first 5 years of his life with his mother on the run.
From age 5-10 he lived with the witch.
At age 10, he traveled to Buho and got a job as a dish boy. He lived in Buho from age 10-30. He survived the Battle of Buho (Being a child, I'm sure he wasn't part of the fighting. But it was probably a traumatic experience for him.)
Present day, he's currently 30.
I assume he didn't travel on his own at age 10. Maybe the witch escorted him and left him there? Or some kindly adventurer, perhaps? Maybe even a random knight or merchant passing through (despite being a small village, it's on a major road, so lots of people come and go).
Something else I wanted to ask was does he live alone then?
Additional things I need to know: His exact height and weight, his birthday (you can pick one or just roll a 1d12 for the month and a 1d30 for the day), and his languages. He has 4 slots. Note that in this setting 'Common' is a trade tongue, only used by merchants and travelers. Not everyone knows it, though. Tardish is the language of the nation, and everyone in town will know that one.

Human multi-class an option? Like a thief/mage or cleric/assassin?

Umm...yeah, I'll let a human multi-class, why not. Although 'assassin' isn't a class (it is a thief kit, though), but thief/mage is fine. Cleric/thief is...weird, since the only religion you could feasibly be would be Gonto who is among other things, the goddess of law. But I suppose it could be done.

interesting.
I think Human, cleric/mage
STR: 11 INT: 15 WIS: 17 DEX: 12 CON: 7 CHA: 12
Crizza will be the God.
Start of the back story: Born to a couple, both priests of Crizza, he was indoctrinated at an early age. But as he grew up, a teacher noted his intellect and added to his repertoire.
Motivation: he perceived a blind faith of spreading the word, but intends to use the power of his faith to make his mark on the world, and not by just helping the masses. Through accumulation of power and wealth, he intends to right societies injustices through strength of will.
