Looks like you got 12, 14, 15, 9, 10, and 17. Pretty good. You can arrange them as you like, and you get a +1 to any one and a -1 to another, regardless of race chosen. The current party consists of a male dwarf ranger and a female human cleric.

Welcome to the game Dram glad you could make it I was trying to form an idea of where Drezden's hometown could be and really the only one that nobody knows where it is other than somewhere on Faerun is Dwaves Deep the forgotten realms wiki does show reference to Elminster and Dwarves Deep. forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Dwarves_Deep Dwarves' Deep, or simply "the Deep", was a subterranean dwarven settlement somewhere in Faerûn.

I am thinking about playing a 1/2 Elven Dual class M.U./Thief Str 16 Int 12 Dex17 Con 13 Wis 9 Cha 10 Okay. It looks like you added the +1 to STR and the -1 to CON. To dual-class, you need your prime requisite of your first class, mage, (INT) to be 15 and your prime requisite for your second class, thief, (DEX) to be 17. Your DEX is fine, but you will want to increase your INT then. Also, since we're starting at level 1, you will start out as a regular mage. What level were you planning on dual-classing to thief? I was trying to form an idea of where Drezden's hometown could be and really the only one that nobody knows where it is other than somewhere on Faerun is Dwaves Deep the forgotten realms wiki does show reference to Elminster and Dwarves Deep. forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Dwarves_Deep Dwarves' Deep, or simply "the Deep", was a subterranean dwarven settlement somewhere in Faerûn. That works for me. From the research I was able to do, Dwarves Deep is a gold (hill) dwarf community, so that fits.

Nice! Thanks Daos. I did see some reference to the Great Rift as well. Though for some reason i fail to remember the whole timeline and locality of the great rift. I'll be looking into that though hopefully that doesn't cause any issue with this adventure/campaign.

I'm just asking, but Dram, are you actually talking Dual Class...or Multi-Class?
I will start putting some stuff on paper.

From what I can see, Great Rift is in the south part of Faerun while the Dalelands are to the north. It looks like somewhere around 1,500 miles between them or so.
In any case, I don't think him being from either Great Rift or Dwarves' Deep will present any problems to the adventure.

I initially was trying to locate a place closer to the dales however nothing really came up in my searching aside from the well known places like Mithril Hall, Citadel Adbar, Citadel Felbarr, Gauntlgrym, Settlestone (which i technically count as part of Mithril Hall), The Great Rift, and some Gray Dwarf settlements...a few places I hadn't heard of like Frostrill, Ascore (which from the sounds of it is actually a ruins of a dwarf ship). None the less none of which I wished to have my character from.

I'm not familiar with the places and their lore at all, where can I read up? I guess even a young cleric would need to know some of it.

Greywolf, if you want your character to be from the Dalelands, I did find one dwarven settlement there. A small trading village in Mistledale called Glen. All I can dig up on it is that it has a population of around 700, it has a secret tunnel that leads to the Underdark and there is a rumor they sell dragon eggs there. I'm not sure if it is a hill dwarf or mountain dwarf settlement, although I assume it's the latter (I notice hill dwarves are mostly from the south, while mountain dwarves are from the north). Breila, most of what I know I learned from the videogames (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Eye of the Beholder, etc.) or the handful of novels I have (while I have 100 Dragonlance novels, I only have about 10 Forgotten Realm ones). The rest I look up on the Forgotten Realms wiki. Two things you should note, though, before perusing it. First, it's not complete. There's lots of gaps in it, despite it being the most popular D&D setting. If you are looking for something and can't find it, let me know. I might know it myself or maybe I can find out by digging elsewhere. The second thing is that to remember that this game, Doom of Daggerdale, takes place in the year 1367 DR. Keep that in mind. It would be weird if your characters were to reference events that haven't happened yet, as the wiki covers events up to the present day in the setting, which I think goes up to the 1490s.

Nah for now lets just go with what we already have approved, it's good enough for me just shows how far Drezden traveled for adventure.

Okay, Dram. You'll start with 1 weapon proficiency, 9 nonweapon proficiencies, and 5 languages. Your starting gold is 1d4+1 (x10). Your chance to learn spells is 70% and you can know up to 11 spells per level.

Would it make sense that Eringard is from the Shadowdale area? Or would that be too far away?
