Yeah, I had a feeling when I saw it was a September release. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad, but it's generally a bad sign. It means the studio has no faith in its ability to perform well.
Then the reviews started coming in. It sounds like FOX really butchered it to pieces, too, which probably didn't help matters.

This will be the longest six months of my life.
It’ll be even longer for me, since we can’t be bothered to see it in theaters. Too much hassle with four kids in the family...I am, however, definitely seeing Avengers 4 as soon as it comes out.

Is it weird that I'm actually more excited for Bad Times at the El Royale?
Captain Marvel will be a summer block buster, and it will be fun. Bad Times at the El Royale actually looks good.

Guys.
Guys.
I was right about Bad Times at the El Royale.
It was so good.
I cannot recommend it highly enough to everyone except for GravityEmblem, who should maybe give it a decade then watch it (adult content, and all).
It was very Tarantino-esque, strongly reminiscent of Pulp Fiction in particular. I'd be surprised if it wasn't being studied in film history classes in two decades. Best movie of the year.

Went to see Wreck-it Ralph 2 today. And now I'm thinking about that Disney Princess game I never got around to working on.

New Captain Marvel trailer. Wait a minute...she's an alien...she has amnesia...she can fly and shoot energy beams, and she can light up and her hair sticks up. Crap in a hat, she's a super sayian!
Kind of serendipitous that the main enemy are the Skrull, a race of shapeshifters, considering what is happening in my Gontoria game now.
We're going to get trailers for Avengers 4 and Spiderman 2 this week, too, from what I've heard.

This looks pretty interesting. A sort of twist on the Superman origin story.

Am I the only one looking forward to Escape Room?
I really love horror movies with smart protagonists. John Carpenter's The Thing is my favorite horror movie of all time, because literally all of the protagonists are brilliant scientists and act like it. This looks like it's going to be in the same vein.

Strangely, I've never even heard of it until today. It's rare for a movie to completely bypass my radar like that. It must not be getting much in the way of marketing for some reason.

Just saw Into the Spider-Verse, arguably the best Spider-Man movie, ever? I've been waiting years for a Miles Morales film, and it really was worth it!

I saw it the other night with Snacs and, I agree, it's really good I need that sound track in my life.

Just got back from seeing Bumblebee, the first ever GOOD Transformers movie. This is a quintessential 80's movie, and not just because it takes place in the 80's. It's heart and soul, it's very core, is very much taken from the tropes of 80's films. I loved it. The best part, since it's a prequel, the fact that I haven't watched the last four didn't impact my following the story at all.

Hey, what about the 80’s one? 😁
While Bumblebee’s ending does allude to some elements of the first Bayformers, the fact that the Autobots are on earth at the end means that it’s not a direct prequel; more of a prequel-reboot.
