“Was about to say so,” Grognak chimes in.

"Might as well," the captain says sorrowfully, getting to his feet. "Nothing to do here. Maybe once in Zhea Harbor...can figure something out."
"We should decide on a marching order before we proceed," the male Silvanesti states. "No telling what dangers we might face here, in human lands."

Ravarie pushes herself up out of the sand, and stands. "Before all of this happened, I wanted to introduce everyone to Sorrith and Lalora," she says, motioning to the elves in question. "I'm not really sure how to describe what our relationship was, but after we are done in Zhea Harbor, I need to return with them," she explains.

"It is an honour," Dorias replies with a bow towards the elves. "Yes, a marching order seems wise. Grognak, would you care to take point? Perhaps with one of Ravarie's companions? The sharp senses and stealth of the elves are legendary, after all. The remainder of us can march together, with warriors at the fore and spellcasters in the middle. Captain...I'm sorry, I don't believe we even asked your name...will you fight with if necessary? Then perhaps you could bring up the rear."

"I am a scout for House Protector," Lalora says, speaking up. She looks at the half-goblin and wrinkles her nose. "Just try not to get in the way," she tells him, taking point.
"I will stay close to Ravarie," Sorrith offers. "Her safety is paramount to our mission, after all."
"Huh? Oh, name's Reeker. But not much captain no more," the captain says glumly. "Yeah, can fight." He shows off his hook hand, and pats himself down to make sure he still has his main-gauche on him. "Might as well take up rear. Hard to keep up with this anyway," he adds, patting his peg leg with his hook hand.
================
(OOC: How's this look then?
Lalora/Grognak Dorias Sorrith/Ravarie Reeker
Not sure how far ahead you want to scouts to be from the rest of the group.)

"Does Lalora seem a little more...cold than normal," Ravarie nearly whispers to the woman's brother.

"She has been through a lot recently," Sorrith offers as way of explanation, and he seems content to leave it at that. The party heads westward, following along the shore, toward the village Reeker claims is there. The sky remains an ominous grey, and that feeling of energy in the air just after a large storm lingers. But for now, at least, they seem safe. At least if the storm returns, they can seek shelter further inland, if necessary. It isn't long before the scouts spot something before them. It appears to be a shipwrecked fishing boat, and a recent one at that. There isn't much left of it. It's clear the ship has been bashed to pieces. There are several bodies about, laying on the shore, unmoving. A flock of gulls peck around the debris, squawking at each other.

Ravarie cautiously approaches one of the bodies to see if it is alive.

Are these more of your victims, D'halla? Dorias thinks as he follows Ravarie to check on the bodies. He keeps one hand on his sword hilt in case this is some sort of trap.

There are three bodies--all human adults, two men and one woman. None of them live.
"Probably from Varvil," Reeker speculates. "Storm probably took out lots of ships. Never seen one that bad before." He looks back out toward the now seemingly calm waters.
"They are beyond our help, and the sun will be setting soon," Sorrith notes. "We should not linger here long."

Dorias takes a moment to inspect the bodies closer, so that he can describe them properly when the party gets to Varvil. If they have any items of note that could identify them, he pockets those and then looks over the boat to see if it's named.

"How far, do you think, the town is from here?"Ravarie asks. "Will we get there before nightfall?" Not that she minds camping outside, but she figured it would be a good idea to ask.

All three bodies have dark skin and hair, and all three sport some old scarring on their backsides. One of the men also has a scar running along his left cheek. The woman is wearing a copper pendant of a fish of some kind. There's no name on the ship, at least that can be seen, but there is a drawing on one side of a kingfisher in flight.
"Mebee, another couple hours?" Reeker answers. "Not sure, not used to walking there."

"Well, we can try to make camo nearby, and reach the village in the morning, or we can risk the failing light to see if we can make it to the village," Ravarie says to her companions. She is open to either option.
