"I can't disagree there," Iroas mutters, downright flabbergasted that anyone would think being part of a lake sounds like an appealing afterlife. "They sound like...hmm...like one of those 'elemental evil cults' I've heard about."

Rada raises her eyebrows as the pirate speaking starts to sound even more crazier than she thought he was. "Agreed," she says to the guard. "He sounds like a fanatic."

"Call us 'evil' and a 'cult' if you will, but we will succeed in the end," the pirate sneers at Iroas. "The world will be flooded, and Olhydra will rule it!"

"Of course you're in an evil cult!" Iroas snaps at them. "Are you even listening to yourselves? You wanted to flood a town in the hopes that after your death, your bodily fluids will be in a lake some day?" He shakes his head and takes a moment to calm down. "Well, you've failed your prince, haven't you? Red Larch still stands, your weapon is now in our hands, and we've already slain most of your people at the keep. And now you can be sure we'll be finishing the job. But you two still have your lives. You will face justice for what you tried to do here. Pray that the good people of Red Larch, the very people you just tried to wipe out, are merciful. Because if not, I imagine you'll be joining your brethren in the Abyss soon enough. Perhaps take some time to think about your actions, and how you wound up at this point."
Turning away from them, and gathering up the chest, Iroas turns to Rada. "It's late, and for now at least, the danger has passed. We should return to our rooms, get some rest, and plan our next move in the morning." He sighs. "Well, at least Lady Savra will manage to get a full night's rest. She'll want to be briefed on all this tomorrow, I'm sure, but we may as well let her continue sleeping for now."

Rada tries not to laugh when she sees Iroas snap at the cultists when they state the painfully obvious. "So that base we were in was actually an evil cult base," she says. "Why would a cult want the books that we took back?"

"I have no idea," Iroas admits.

Upon thinking about it, Iroas remembers Bruldenthar explaining how the books came into the hands of the Crushing Wave: they accepted them as payment for ferrying the Sacred Stone Monks and their prisoners across the river. Perhaps they held some significance to the cult, or perhaps they just thought they'd fetch good coin.

"Perhaps the piracy is not entirely an act," Iroas comments. "In any case, let's head back to the inn, get some rest and reconvene in the morning." He grabs the chest, and heads back to his room, trying not to think too hard about the immense destructive power inside the chest.

Migor is silent, shaking. 'Yess. I can use a drink. Bad memories. So much. Yess. I didn't liked the cult. Yess. Happy to be free of them. Yess,'

"What do you mean, you are free of them?" Rada asks Migor as she walks back to the inn. "You were apart of the Crushing Wave?"

Migor shrinks away from Rada, seemingly unwilling to answer. The party arrives at the inn shortly afterward.

The party, already having paid for their rooms, return to their beds to finally get some sleep--hopefully, without any more interruptions.
