Yeah, many Ravenites learned to speak Kanatan in order to communicate with the Elonnori living there, but there's little reason for them to not speak to each other in their own native tongue.

Well, I guess that's it for chapter 4 then.  I had hoped it would go on a bit longer, as I'm in the middle of transitioning Radiant Citadel between chapters, too, not to mention frantic apartment hunting, but it is what it is.  I'll try to get XP up when I get the chance, but it might be a few days.

Since it's pretty clear Matt isn't coming back by this point (he hasn't logged in or posted in months), I'll try and figure out what to do with Poppy.  Whether I can find a way to write her out of the story, or just make her a permanent NPC.

I'll also start working on the next slate of missions to choose from.

Alright, XP and summary are up.  No level ups, but some of you got very close.  So I'll probably do another interview exercise for an extra 100 XP to close that gap.  Assuming you all are interested.  If so, I'll throw that up when I get home from work tonight.

I don't have many notes for that last session, since it was so short.  But here they are.

Title and Theme
The title, 'Prince Hluuwee, Fabulous He' is an Aladdin reference. Sadly, we didn't actually get to see Prince Hluuwee, so I guess it's a misnomer now.

The Overzealous Guard
I had several scenarios planned for the week as the party waited for the prince to arrive. Some were meant to teach the party more about Ravenite culture. Some were meant to tempt the party into breaking cover (for instance, one scenario would have them encounter some prisoners that were taken during the raid on Si'ahl; would the party risk rescuing them?).

In this instance, there was an overzealous guard who started stalking the party. I was curious to see how they would deal with him. I never would have anticipated what actually happened--with the party inviting him into their room to search their things, being discovered, knocking him out, then turning themselves over to him to be brought to jail, before finally breaking out and escaping.

That was quite a roller coaster ride, to say the least. I have no idea what the party's plan was supposed to be, but...it certainly didn't play out any way I would have guessed.

My personal life has been a real mess lately, and the game I’m in here has been an anxiety-causing chore instead of something fun. I don’t really want to keep playing, but I also feel bad leaving everybody high and dry…I don’t know if it’s more rude to up and leave or to stay in but not be invested at all. But I’ll do whatever the consensus says is more polite, I guess.

I moved this post over here, since I'm not certain if HorizonsDream or MaltholLoth even read the General forums, since you seem to want their input.  Plus, it just seemed more appropriate, since this is the only game you're in anyway.

That said, if the only options here are you quit the game or you remain with zero investment or interest, the choice is pretty obvious.  And I doubt anyone will argue you should stay.  Logically, it makes no sense if A) you aren't having fun and B) you are barely posting or contributing to the game.  Obligation is not a legitimate reason to remain in a game you aren't having any fun in.  And even if it were, I'd argue you don't owe me or the other players anything anyway.

I don't think it was anything you did, MaltholLoth.  This is a sentiment that Gravity has expressed before (exactly one year and one day ago, in fact).

With that said, since I'm going to be moving in 3 weeks, it might be a good idea for me to go on a hiatus. It doesn't seem right to start a new adventure when I'm trying to move and get myself settled.
