Iroas takes another swing at his opponent, and is blocked again. One wonders if perhaps he is reluctant to go all out against a female opponent, even a goblin one. However, his own defenses remain up, preventing his opponent from hitting him, either. Fosco openly mocks the goblin, and this seems to throw her off her game a bit.
Orianna drops her bow, unsheathes her short sword, and manages to stab her opponent in the shoulder. The goblin, angered, retaliates but the tiefling is able to evade it. Both she and her opponent are on their last legs, and whoever successfully draws blood next will most likely be the victor. Kalli takes another shot, but if anything, this shot is even wider than the last one. Again, the arrow disappears in the brush.

"Blast it," Iroas swears through clenched teeth. He wasn't too worried this goblin would kill him, but she was keeping him in a stalemate, distracting him while Djan slowly bled out. He needed to do something about that, so began slowly backing away, moving closer to the fallen dragonborn. He then muttered a quick prayer, while looking over his shoulder. "Illmater, hear my plea, and alleviate the suffering of another." His icon glows, and the arrow in Djan slowly falls out as the wound decreases in size by about half. The cleric then turns his full attention back to the goblin as she swings at him again. But still distracted by Fosco's insult, it's a wild swing that is easy to avoid. Orianna ignores the pain of her wounds and bides her time. She spots an opening and takes it, slamming the point of her blade into the goblin's throat. It gurgles and thrashes wildly, before falling backward and spasming before dying. Fosco hops off the wagon and goes after the goblin attacking Iroas, but the point of his rapier only strikes the goblin's leather armor, failing to pierce the skin. As Djan regains consciousness, Kalli remains where she is, making sure nothing comes up behind the party while they are distracted. =============== Initiative Order1. Iroas (18) 2. Orianna (15) 3. Iroas smacks the last standing goblin with his mace, trying to knock her out. The goblin retaliates, but she is unable to get past the cleric's shield. Fosco, behind her, stabs her right through the heart, ending her life in an instant.
Meanwhile, Kalli and Orianna look around, but don't see anything out of the ordinary.
Djan, who just woke up, has no idea what is happening. He sees Iroas fighting a goblin. So were goblins what ambushed them? He never saw any of the battle, he just remembers an arrow hitting him from the brush and then going down. He is unsure of what happened to whoever shot them. Were they dead? Escaped? They weren't shooting any more arrows, at least. But he plods northward and searches the brush nevertheless. There, he finds another goblin. He's not dead, but rather seems to be sleeping. How did that happen? Shrugging it off, he slits the throat of the goblin.
With the battle over, Iroas looks around. "Is everyone alright? And do we have any rope?"

"We can rest in a bit," Iroas assures her. "But for now, we should probably tie up any survivors. It might be useful to question them when they come to."
Noticing the dragonborn had wandered off, he calls out to him. "Djandaar, what did your investigation of the horses turn up before you went down?"

"You...it was you who revived me?" Djandaar asks the cleric, staring expressionlessly at him. "We can rest in a bit," Iroas assures her. "But for now, we should probably tie up any survivors. It might be useful to question them when they come to." "Tie them up? Question them?" Djandaar asks incredulously. "What could you possibly accomplish like that? They are clearly nothing more than opportunistic bandits, and the sooner Faerun is rid of them, the better off everyone will be." Noticing the dragonborn had wandered off, he calls out to him. "Djandaar, what did your investigation of the horses turn up before you went down?" "The horses? They're quite dead," he snorts. "Didn't get a chance to learn anything else before that arrow struck me."
