Daos chants the same spell once again, sending all three missiles toward the largest of the wolves.

The pack of wolves attack again, only this time, the group is prepared. Only one wolf hits its target, clawing at Frun-Wok for a serious, though not fatal, wound. Gel-Thrak and Frun-Wok proceed to launch a dual attack on the pack leader. The first attack misses, but the second land a deadly blow, and the Dire Wolf falls in a matter of seconds. The four remaining wolves realize that they are outnumbered and leaderless, and retreat back into the woods. All except the last, that is, who gets stabbed by Melvin as he limps away.

Frun-Wok hits Dire Wolf for 15 damage. Dire Wolf dies.
Wolf 1, Wolf 3, and Wolf 4 run away.
Melvin stabs Wolf 5 as it attempts to run away.

Daos slumps forward, leaning heavily on his staff for support. Partly this is out of relief that the fight is over, but also because all of that spellcasting wore him out. "Is anyone seriously hurt?" he asks, well aware that they have no healers, that he knows of, within the group.

"I'll rub some dirt on it" Bayla responds, talking about the gash she took across her leg.

“Well, I’m hurt pretty bad,” Frun-Wok says, gesturing to his wounds. “But we can’t rest now; the wolves might attack again. We’re close to the border of Sen-Tok, so we can set up camp there.”
Gel-Thrak nods in agreement. “The wolves never stray outside this forest.”

Daos nods, after catching his breath and taking his weight off the staff. "Alright, then let's move and rest when we're safe."

The group manages to make it out of the forest without incident, and they travel a small ways farther before Gel-Thrak says that the location is good to set up camp.
”Who’s going to keep watch?” Quentein asks. “I was thinking Jonas and I, since we’re relatively unharmed, but what do you all think?”

Daos nods in agreement, but adds, "Neither of you can see in the dark, though. This means we'll need to start a fire. Will that cause any problems for us, so close to Lun Chu territory?"

"Very well," Daos says. Still worn out from the battle with the wolves, he finds a spot to sit and rest while the others set up camp.

"Light whatever fire you need" Bayla gruffs, even shorter and more irritable than she normally is. She throws her bedroll down and passes out before the fire is even lit.
