Haha, fair enough. Let me rephrase that.
Have we so far only seen seven of them? Or were there more and they've since disappeared?

The seven are the two guards (Ragdoll and the other one), and the five who came out with Draft. So, you've only seen seven.

Hmm, so half of his men are missing. They could be elsewhere (perhaps on an errand or a raid or out hunting or something), which would be good for us (unless they come back soon). Or they could be hiding somewhere, waiting to jump out at us if we attack, which would be bad for us.
Further, Daos only has one spell left and several of the party are wounded. So we would need to be very careful about how to go about this.

I won't be able to post until the morning, but I saw we give him the choice. Come in, and his men are free to go, clear his name and possibly serve time for his crimes, or flee. With the warning that if he flees, he's a criminal, a bandit and a wanted man, if he continues on that path and we meet him or his men again, no quarter will be given.
Option one is best outcome and it also puts the onus on him, because that's the only one where his men go free. Option two is worst case, but we kill him if we meet again, unless he gives up banditry.
Either option though, we return and pursue justice against Menlo.

Hmm. He might go for it. Assuming Menlo was telling the truth before, he's been in prison before, and he's escaped. So there's always a chance he could do it again.
Maybe have the person with the best persuasion skill make the pitch? I get a +3, but I assume that's not the best. But I can have Daos assist.

I'm untrained, but have a +4 due to Charisma.

Flynn would have happily have made the persuasion check, but ya know, kind busy and it seems to have been handled already. Flynn's persuasion is a modest +7 at least until he gets expertise.

Modest? Lol!

A +7 before expertise? Yeah, we need to get Flynn to do all of our negotiating for us. And all of our shopping. And if any of us go on dates, play Cyrano for us.

Flynn is a face... a very beautiful, punchable face.

PotatoGolem hasn't posted in 2 weeks, so I'll NPC his character until he gets back.

Sorry, I'm still here (didn't see there was an OOC thread though). Alonzo didn't have much to add- seemed like the paladin wanted to be the one negotiating with the bandits, so he just stayed back and kept an eye on them.

Should I skip to the journey back to Ren, or do you all want to keep talking in character?

Fine either way.
