Drezden "Good idea Jaxle. Perhaps we should have asked for more information about the wizard as well. Now about this tower i suppose we should get to what we were paid to come out here for."

With farewells said, the party departs back toward Lonelywood. After two more days of travel with no issue, they arrive. At the edge of town, Drizzt stops. "Here we part ways, as well. I wish you luck on your endeavor to find the missing tower. But I would caution you to heed Kinnuki's words. If the mage who lived there was as wicked as he claims, there is no telling what might be lurking within the tower, even a century later."

"We will endeavour to prepare for all eventualities, master Drizzt, and we thank you for your assistance these past few days," Malavar replies with a nod. "Since you are clearly familiar with the geography of this land, I don't suppose you happen to know the shortest route to the tree Kinnuki mentioned?"

Drezden "Thank you Drizzt, might I ask do you know of any things we should watch out for out here?"

"There are no roads there, but there is a small hunting trail that can be used," Drizzt replies. "Someone skilled in the outdoors," he nods to Drezden," should have no difficulty in finding it."
"Probably the most dangerous creatures are the yeti, the remorhaz and the occasional white dragon," the drow replies. "But they usually don't show themselves until the colder months, so you all should be fine. Still, remain vigilant."

"Well then, let us deliver our catch to Regis and then consider our next move," Malavar says to his companions. "I for one could use a proper hot meal after these days in the wilderness..."

Saying their good-byes, the party then heads into town and makes a beeline toward Regis' shop. He is quite excited to see them, especially the sack of knucklehead they bring with them. "Excellent, excellent...I really appreciate this. I hate making the trip myself," the halfling explains as he goes through the sack. "What about you? Did you find what you were looking for?"

Drezden replies to Regis "Sort of though it leaves us with some more questions as well. We met Drizzt and he translated for us, but this wizard apparently the nomad had a relationship with the wizard's wife or at least knew her more intimately than we originally knew."

"No kidding?" Regis laughs. "I didn't know the old guy had it in him! He never talks about himself, and I assumed he had some great stories, but I wouldn't have guessed he was that sort of guy."
"Do you know anything about a big, bent tree?" Taska asks.
"Bent tree? Yeah...now that you mention it, there's a forest not too far from here. One of the trees is way bigger than the others, and bent over, like a giant came and tried to sit on it or something. It's over by the great druid circle. There's a festival there every summer. You can't see the tree from the lake, because it's bent so low. And there's a lot of pine growth around the tree and lots of tundra laurels, too, so it makes getting there difficult. But there is an old hunting trail that should take you right there." He gives the party directions to find the trail. "Shouldn't take you more than a day to get there."

"Our thanks, master Regis. What say you friends, shall we rest here this evening? We can resupply as needed and set off in the morning."

Regis wishes the party luck, and they head out to do some shopping. Then they retire for the night at the local inn. The following morning, they set out. With Regis' instructions and Drezden's nature lore, they easily find the trail and make good time through the forest. It begins to snow lightly, but it's not bad enough to prove much of a hindrance.
The party's efforts lead them to a depression in the earth, about 150 feet in diameter and filled with small pines and large bushes. On the edge of the depression is a huge, single-limbed ancient oak tree, bent over at a sharp angle towards the bowl-like depression. Scattered throughout the area are large standing stones, about two feet across and about two feet high. Some are partially overgrown while others are broken, and all are weather-beaten. The stones form a circle roughly 20 feet across.
