It's from The Complete Necromancer's Handbook, which is not one of the approved splatbooks, so no. According to the DMG, there are three ways to settle starter spells. I'll let you choose which one you prefer: Player's Choice: Basically, you name which spells you want and roll for them. Pass and you add the spell to the spellbook; fail and you don't. You keep doing this until you feel you have enough or until you hit your maximum limit, based on your INT score. DM's Choice: Basically, I choose your spells for you. On the flip side, they are not rolled for, so you 100% are guaranteed a full selection. The downside is you have no say over which spells you end up with. Player/DM Collaboration: You roll 3d4. You get to choose half (or roll for them, if you prefer). I choose the other half.

Who knows, since she's trying to change other people perception about Idra she may reveal her true identity if she trusts you enough.

Alignment NG. Didn't realize a non cleric really needed a deity but I will see what options DL has for those... Age well he is a dwarf adult and would have been an adult during the war that ended 17 years ago so take average adult age for a dwarf and add 17 years to it. If memory serves dwarves are "young" until age 50 so say he is 68 if that works. He's tall for a dwarf so make him 4' 8" I guess. 155 lbs. Unfortunately my searches are giving me mixed info for "tall height and athletic build of a dwarf" getting results mixed from 1e & 2e and 5e.

I have 17 Int so.. 14 is the max? That is correct. Is there a chart to roll for spells? Just to understand.. A chart? Do you mean like a list of all available 1st level spells? I can write one up for you if you want. You rolled a 6, so I'll pick three. I'll choose Detect Magic, Read Magic and Magic Missile. edit: Is read&Write taken for every induvdial launguage? Correct, you need one slot for each language you can read and write. What the cost of the shatangs? (minotaur javelins) A shatang costs 5 STP. I'll look over it tonight and get back to you as soon as I can. Alignment NG. Didn't realize a non cleric really needed a deity but I will see what options DL has for those... Age well he is a dwarf adult and would have been an adult during the war that ended 17 years ago so take average adult age for a dwarf and add 17 years to it. You aren't required to choose a deity--you can be 'godless' like Tristen's character. But the gods in Dragonlance are much more hands-on and meddlesome than other settings, so if you are godless, they'll probably all see you as a potential convert. Anyway, here is a full list of deities. According to TotL, hill dwarves tend to range between 3'8" and 4'5" inches, so yeah, he's a bit taller than average. Ironically, while he may well have been the tallest person in his clan, he is by far still the shortest of the party. Sha'alzek, Sumina and Kaelestia are all 5' and up, while Parra is 6'9" and Granker is over 7 feet.

Okay, Igordragonian , a few things: Her WIS should be 9, not 8 (assuming you put the 11 in there, 11-2 = 9). XP to next level is 2,500 not 25,000. According to the kit, she gets either Weather Sense or Direction Sense for free. She also gets either Endurance or Survival for free, as well. HP is 6 (4+2 for CON) not 12. NWPS: You gave her Ancient History; which era of ancient history is she familiar with? You also gave her Ancient Language; which ancient language does she know? Also, remember that Herbalism costs 2 slots, so she has one too many right now. A shatang has a weapon speed of 6, not 3. You might want to give her a backpack or something to hold her stuff in (such as her spellbook). As a shatang costs 5 STP, she can't possibly afford ten of them (which would cost 50 STP, and she only has 30 STP starting out).

hate to be a repeat offender but I might go with Reorx again, namely he was one of my favorites in any of the novels I've read where he is mentioned or shows up. Though Fizban "Paladine" was by far my second favorite.
Looking the list over though I think I have a decent concept for this dwarf barbarian if he follows Habbakuk. So I think I am settled and will go with Habbakuk as the deity he follows.
As for WP & NWP I am going to quote the part from Barbarians you posted for me.
WP: Battle Axe (required), Bastard Sword (required), short bow (recommended), war hammer (recommended). This is not me looking things up and assuming since Barbarian is part of the Warriors "club" that he starts with 4 WPs.
NWP: Endurance (Bonus from class), Fire-building, Hunting, Direction Sense. Again assuming I only start with 3 for warrior type.
So as "give me" for equipment I would already be intending to buy a short bow & score of arrows with a quiver that can hold them, battle axe, and war hammer I do not wish to also carry a bastard sword already starting to sound like Caramon Majere at that point. Armor if Hide armor is in the coins then yes starting with that. Other gear would be water skin, backpack, 50' rope, flint & steel and maybe a weeks worth of rations. I'll have to do some looking back to see what i have left for coin after this if any.

Okay, Habbakuk it is.
You are correct about proficiencies--a Barbarian is a warrior, so that's 4 WP and 3 NWP. But don't forget that due to his INT, he gets 1 more proficiency slot, as well. I assume his extra language will be Common?
As for equipment, I went ahead and ran the numbers of everything you mentioned; assuming you meant hemp rope and not silk rope, then he can afford all of it and still have 1 steel and 1 silver piece remaining.
After that, all that remains is his appearance, personality and history.

I was thinking that with all the money I have left (before the required donation) I could buy a mule to carry around all the party equipment and avoid encumbrance problems.
What does everyone think about it?
Also, Daos I realized I didn't choose my spells. Can I just choose freely from the spheres I have access to?

How much money does she have left?
And yes, I'll be adding a spell list in her stat block when I put up the Character Stats thread. Once we get started, I'll ask all spellcasters to pick their spells for the day, and you'll choose them from that list.
