"Uh, now," Sonoma says. There was really no reason for her to stay here at the moment anyway. "I just wanted to return your boots."

"Oh," Chevis responds.
"Well, good luck with that. Hopefully better luck than I have, anyway," he says. There's an awkward silence, as he seems unsure on what further to say.

"...Thanks," Sonoma said. She really wasn't sure what else to say. "Well, uh, bye," she added, and then walked out the door. As she wasn't too fond of the man, she didn't feel the need to press the issue of leaving too much.
Since it was cold out, and now she was without shoes, she took to the road at a run. She needed to get back to Largo as fast as possible.

Luckily, Chevis' house isn't too far from Largo's. In fact, the latter is only two buildings south from the former. After a quick run through the snow-covered, deserted street, Sonoma returns to the leathershop to find Largo waiting her.
"That was quick," he says.

"Well, I don't actually own anything," Sonoma explained. "Except for the clothes on my back and my necklace. Plus, I just had to return Chevis' boots and tell him that I was leaving," she said with a small shrug.

"Hmm. All right, come this way," Largo says.
He leads her to the back to what appears to be a bedroom. There's a clean, made bed of oak with red sheets. It does not appear to have been used in awhile.
There's a window with red curtains over the bed. There's a simple oak dresser for clothes and a small bedside stand for personal possessions. A number of potted plants sit on top of the dresser, and there are a few larger ones on the floor by the bed, too.
"This is where you'll be staying," he says, gesturing about.

"Oh, wow," Sonoma said, clearly impressed. This was certainly a step up than where she was staying before. "This is great!"

Largo raises a brow at her reaction. Clearly he was surprised by her enthusiasm. "If you say so," he says.
A bell is heard up front. "Ah, a customer. Go ahead and get settled while I see who it is." With that, he turns to leave her alone.

The first thing Sonoma does is run over to the bed and lay down on it. She didn't have any possessions to think of so all she wanted to do was to lay on the bed considering she had been sleeping on the floor for a few days now. "I wonder who this use to belong to," she asked herself.

It was a valid question, but only Largo could really answer it for sure. Of course, he was busy right now...but perhaps a bit of exploration of said room might shed some light on the subject.

After taking a long few moments to relax on the bed, Sonoma pushed herself up and began to explore the room. She searched through the drawers in the dresser to see if there was actual clothing inside. Looking over the flowers, and basically just did a little walk through.

Sonoma discovers there are clothes in the dresser, but they are for men of about Largo's size. They are men's sized, making them far too big for Sonoma's slight build.

"Hmm, brother or father," Sonoma said softly as she stopped going through the dresser. She had to wonder why Largo kept all of this stuff when it was obvious that no one stayed in this room anymore. With a small shrug, she walked out of the bedroom to explore the house a little more.

The shop area was up front, of course. That's where one could find the desk and merchandise, and that's where Largo is now, dealing with a customer.
Aside from her new room, there was another room across the hall with the door closed. Looking around she also found a small kitchen area for cooking meals and storing food.
There was also a room that reeked of leather. Likely it was where Largo did his actual work, crafting leather.

Sonoma was drawn to the kitchen, being that she was staving at this point. "Don't want to burn the place down," she said to herself as she tried to find something easy for her to eat for the time being.
