Oh, this one is going to be a punch in the gut, I can just tell. Also, I saw Adam Warlock and Lylla, and I know who they are thanks to the videogames.
TRUKK NOT MUNKY! (Yes, I am old enough to remember this.)
Pretty lukewarm on this one, considering how awful the last one was, but we'll see.

Ooh, Beast Wars. I was a big Transformers fan back in the day, so I know all about the Beast Wars controversy. And then the show goes on to be one of the best and most beloved Transformers shows ever.

I'm kind of curious as to how it's going to work in the modern day, though. The whole concept of Transformers is that they are 'robots in disguise,' that is, that they take the form of mundane vehicles and other modern day devices to hide in plain sight from humans. But Beast Wars was different; there were no people to hide from. Rather, they took the form of local animals and extinct wildlife because the planet was flooded with raw energon which would short out their circuits; so it was a defensive measure. They could only maintain their robot forms for so long without taking on risk. Also, the Maximals/Predacons were significantly smaller than their ancestors, the Autobots/Deceptacons. Closer to human sized, as opposed to being like 20 feet tall.
Cut to this movie. We have Optimus Primal as a 20 foot tall robot ape. Why? That disguise isn't going to fool anyone. He's too big and clearly robotic.
Maybe the movie explains this, the trailer is really light on plot details, so we'll see.

I recently watched the new Disney film, Strange World, on Disney Plus. If you've never heard of it before, I'm not surprised. Disney seemed pretty intent on burying it; it got almost no marketing promotion at all. But it's a pretty good film. If you like pulp action, like Journey to the Center of the Earth, King Kong, and such, this will be right up your alley.

I finally got around to watching Black Panther 2, Wakanda Forever, last night. What a powerful film. Although a tad overstuffed at times; I guess they had a lot to cover especially with Boseman's death and all. Still, very much loved it. I really enjoy the Wakandan aesthetics, and Talokan looked very cool, as well.

I did like it it was very interesting to see Namor and his people in this film.

Trailer for Pixar's new film, Elemental:
I don't know...for the first time ever, I can't say I'm hyped to see a Pixar film. The basic plotline just seems so...generic. Maybe it's just me, though.

I saw the film '65' last night.
I feel like one's enjoyment to this film is directly correlative to their knowledge of science (or at least, how easily they can ignore scientific inaccuracies). Because this film doesn't even try to be accurate on anything, from paleontology to astrophysics. But if you take it as it is; a dumb schlock film, it's enjoyable enough.

I dont know if it a sign of wisdom of age, or of my brain turning into dust- the younger I was, the more critical I was, looking for perfect consistency in stuff, to be perfecfly coherent, the older I get, I accept the "Eh. It looks fun". attitude more and more.
Slightly related to it- I have watched the Super Mario movie. It was..fun.
