Djan and Iroas move forward, each taking on one of the remaining goblins. Djan throws a firebolt at one, incinerating her instantly. Iroas runs up to the other and smacks him with his mace, knocking him out.
"Good job, everyone," Iroas says. "Hopefully the sound of all that rushing water masked the noise."
=============
Djan moves 15 feet west and then casts Fire Bolt at Dam Goblin Guard 02 [DC 13] (1d20+5): 9+5 = 14, hit for (1d10): 9 fire damage. Dam Goblin Guard 02 dies.
8S4yLxJ81d201d10 Iroas moves 15 feet west and 5 feet north, then swings his mace non-lethally at Dam Goblin Guard 01 [AC 15] (1d20+4): 19+4 = 23, hit for (1d6+2): 6+2 = 8 bludgeoning damage. Dam Goblin Guard 01 is knocked unconscious.

"Well, that was easier than I thought it would be," Orianna says. "I'll look a head a bit, and report back," She sneaks ahead to the path that leads to Klarg (or at least she assumes it leads to Klarg).

"Be careful," says Iroas softly, absently rubbing the ring on his right hand as she sneaks off.
Orianna sneaks up the stairs and peers into the next chamber. Sacks and crates of looted provisions, each bearing the emblem of a blue lion, are piled up in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. A larger opening leads north down a set of natural stone steps, the roar of falling water echoing from beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder.
Surrounding the fire are four figures. Two are goblins. One is a mangy wolf. The fourth sits next to the wolf, gently petting it. It's a bugbear. The goblins are armed as all of the Cragmaw clan has been so far (leather armor, shields, scimitars and bows). The bugbear, however, towering over them, wears hide armor, has a shield and a rather large morning star at his side and a quiver of javelins on his back.
Luckily, none of them, not even the wolf, has noticed Orianna's approach.
(OOC: Click on the map to enlarge. B = Bugbear, w = wolf, 1 & 2 = goblins.
Lucky roll. The wolf would have sensed you if you had rolled a 13 or lower on that stealth check!)

Orianna makes her way back to the group. "We might have a tough fight ahead of us. There is a wolf, a bugbear, and two goblins. They don't appear to be aware of us as they are just gathered around a fire right now."

Iroas frowns in thought. "So Klarg is a bugbear? No wonder Yeemik wants him gone. But this will be dangerous. Bugbears are no joke."
"Bah, it's just a goblin, but bigger," Djan argues.
"Bigger, stronger, and tougher," Iroas counters. He looks to the others. "How do you want to approach this?"

"The sneaking thing has worked out well so far," Orianna says. "But there are four of them. Should I target the wolf first, or one of the goblins? I won't be able to take out the bugbear with one shot, I don't think."

“I have an idea,” Fosco announces. “I was thinking I could use some Illusion magic to distract him, and then we can all jump out and attack him.”

"A distraction sounds good," Iroas agrees. "And we'll likely need to pull out all the stops on this one. Any trick or ability or spell we can muster should be used to its full effect. I strongly suggest we not underestimate Klarg or his minions."

"Are you going to be able to handle this?" Orianna asks Iroas. "If you go down, we might not stand a chance."

Iroas nods. "I have faith that we'll make it through this, if we work together and watch each other's backs. Speaking of which, let's leave nothing to chance." He places a hand gently on Orianna's shoulder. "Ilmater, watch over this woman and guide her with your infinite wisdom." Once the prayer is done, he looks to the others. "Let's do this. Everyone ready?"
==========
Iroas has cast Guidance on Orianna. She may add +1d4 to her next ability check.

Fosco nods and plans what distraction he'll make.

Orianna nods and decides that while Fosco is doing his distraction. She has to wait for Fosco's distraction before really doing anything.

Fosco casts an illusion spell [Minor Illusion], making loud growls, grunts, and crashes, seemingly coming from another part of the cave-not the part they came from, of course.

The spell certainly gets the attention of everyone in the chamber. The bugbear gets to his feet, grabbing his morning star. "What's this? Klarg demands to know what is causing such a racket!" He moves toward the noise to investigate, the wolf at his heels, while the two goblins stay by the fire, readying their bows anxiously.

Orianna, now that the distraction is in place, tries to sneak attack one of the goblins.
