Completely caught off guard, neither Klarg or his minions see the party coming. Iroas moves in first, coming up behind the wolf and striking it with his mace. Orianna fires an arrow over Fosco's head, piercing one of the goblins' necks, killing him instantly. Djan, meanwhile, moves in last and throws a firebolt at the other goblin, but it's only a glancing blow, singing her slightly and not much else.
Klarg turns away from his investigation to face the party. "Trespassers? You dare attack Klarg? Klarg will destroy you!" He gestures to the wolf. "Ripper, tear out their throats!"

Fosco hurries into the cavern, then throws his dagger at Klarg. The small blade, turning end over end, hits the bugbear's arm, cutting him slightly and drawing some blood. Snarling, Klarg shouts, "For that, Klarg smash you into paste first, tiny man!"
Iroas swings his mace at the wolf, but the creature nimbly dodges out of the way. Growling fiercely, the wolf, empowered by its master being nearby, leaps at Iroas. The cleric is unable to throw up his shield in time, and is knocked prone. The wolf immediately begins biting into Iroas, tearing at his flesh with its teeth.
The remaining goblin shoots her bow at Djan, the arrow sticking in deep in his gut, causing him to cry out and stumble back. She then rolls south and hops behind some of the crates there, taking cover.
Orianna had intended to shoot the other goblin, but couldn't see her anymore. Instead, she enters the cavern and shoots the wolf that is on top of Iroas. Her aim is true, hitting the lupine right in the eye. It drops dead on top of Iroas, but the cleric does not make any attempt to push it away. He lies completely still, bloodied and battered.
"Ripper!" Klarg calls out in genuine distress. He points to Orianna. "For that, you will be the second to die!" He stomps forward, lifting his morning star to bring down on Fosco's head. The halfling is able to roll to the side just in time to avoid it. The head of the weapon smashes into the ground, shattering it with the force of the blow.
Djan manages to rip the arrow from his stomach, and tosses it aside. He moves around the fireplace, then sucks in his breath. He unleashes a cone of flame right at the bugbear. However, Klarg notices his approach and turns and raises his shield in time to block the worst of it. But the cavern is still filled with the awful stench of burned hair. "Klarg smash you third then!" the bugbear promises.

Fosco makes a stab at the bugbear with his rapier, but is easily thwarted by Klarg's shield.
"You don't tell me what to do, demon bit--!" Djan's words are cut off, as he drops to a goblin's arrow once again. The goblin then tries to go back into hiding, but Orianna can still see her. For now, though, she focuses her arrow on Klarg and lets loose. The arrow strikes his left shoulder, but it is not enough to kill or even slow the bugbear down. It raises its morningstar again, and this time Fosco is not fast enough to avoid it. The halfling goes down, leaving only Orianna remaining on her feet.
Grinning viciously, Klarg turns his attention to the tiefling.

Orianna quickly assess the scene before her as she is the only one left standing at the moment. She has a few options, but she knows she works better when she is hiding. She decides to try her luck, and makes a run out of the cave to hide behind a rock nearby.

The goblin in hiding pops out and fires again, this time at Orianna. The arrow strikes the right side of her chest, piercing her leather armor. The goblin then attempts to hide again.
Orianna then spins on her heel and runs out of the room, down the stairs, and leaps over a nearby rock to hide. Klarg comes stomping in after her a few moments later. He doesn't spot her and seems to be about to run right past her, in a rage.

Orianna was hoping that Klarg would come running after her. Now that she feels she is safely hidden, she waits until he does run past her hiding spot before she attacks him from behind with her bow.

Nocking an arrow in her bow, Orianna waits. Klarg rushes past her, not noticing her, and moves toward the stairs believing the tiefling was heading for the entrance. It is only then that she takes aim at his retreating back and lets loose. The arrow strikes right in the square of his back, causing him to roar out in pain and stagger. Instead of falling to the ground in death, though, he slowly turns around to face her. There is still life in him yet. Staggering, he takes one more step forward and opens his mouth to say something, but instead only blood is spat out. Orianna lets out a small sigh of relief as the bugbear falls to his death. Though, she knows that she has three team members that she has to hurry up and save, but there is one last obstacle in her way. She decides to sneak back into the cave, and look for the goblin as she knows that the goblin has probably went into hiding.

Stealthily, Orianna sneaks back to the entrance of the room, climbing up the stairs. There she finds the remaining goblin quietly looting the bodies of her companions for any valuables.
